A streaming music site changed its format to focus on previously unreleased music from rising artists. The site manager now want

s to determine whether the number of unique listeners per day has changed. Before the change in format, the site averaged 131,520 unique listeners per day. Now, beginning three months after the format change, the site manager takes a random sample of 30 days and finds that the site has an average of 124,247 unique listeners per day. The manager finds that the p-value for the hypothesis test is approximately 0.0743. How would you interpret the p-value?

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a streaming music site changed its format to focus on previously unreleased music from rising artists. The site manager now wants to determine whether the number of unique listeners per day has changed.

Hypothesis is created as

H_0: Mean 1- Mean 2 =0\\H_a: Mean 1 - Mean 2 \neq 0

(Two tailed test for difference of means)

Test statistic is found out and p value = 0.0743

Suppose we use significance level of 5% we find that p value =0.0743>0.05

Hence we accept null hypothesis.

i.e. there is no significant change in the average number of unique listeners per day

p value is an indicator of how extreme the data is.  If p is less than alpha, we reject H0 otherwise accept.

Step2247 [10]
Sally = 1/3
Jerry = 5/6
David = 1/2
Mona = 1 - 7/8 = 1/8

So, the biggest fraction among them is 5/6.

Step-by-step explanation:

A histogram is a demonstration of statistical data that uses bars to illustrate the incidence of data values in successive numerical intervals of same size. In the most basic form of histogram, the independent variable is marked along the x-axis and the dependent variable is marked along the y-axis.

The data provided is:

X   Frequency

1           12

2           3

3           7

nika2105 [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a)/Let x represent the amount of money earned by the World Issues club for all their fundraising activities this year.

Let y represent the revenue generated for the foundation.

b) The World Issues club has decided to donate 60% of all their fundraising activities this year to Stephen Lewis Foundation. Therefore, an equation that will determine the amount of money the foundation will receive is

60/100 × x = y

0.6x = y
