Answer:

The correct answer would be, Motives.

Explanation:

Derek is a student who want to win the student of the year award and he wanted it so badly that when the name of the winner was announced, he was convinced that he hears his name. But in actual, it was not the case. His behavior illustrates how motives can affect perception. He wanted to hear his name, because he wanted that award so desperately, so he perceived that his name was announced, whereas the name of another student was announced. Unsatisfied needs and motives stimulate individuals to an extent that they have a high influence of their motives on the perception. The attitude of the person affects his perception.

The intersection of Walnut Street and Birch Street, where the highest number of accidents occur in your city, has a stop sign.
ANEK [815]

Answer:

More accidents occur at intersections than anywhere else. One of the reasons for this is because most of the intersections have stop signs. Because there are more accidents at intersections with stop signs than those with signals or roundabouts, stop signs are not as effective in preventing accidents. This is probably why the number of accidents at Walnut and Birch Streets is so high.

Angela told her mother that she would be moving out of the house. Her mother's teary-eyed stare changed into a cold, furrow-brow
denis-greek [22]

Answer:

c. that each nonverbal code rarely operates alone.

Explanation:

Words do not tell everything. The important part of the communication is nonverbal communication which includes gestures, mimics, eye contact, facial expressions and posture. People can control what they are going to say, but it is rare that person can control their nonverbal reaction to something. When we want to value verbal communication in making an impression, then we pay attention to tone of voice also. In the given situation, Angela's mother showed her disagreement with Angela's plan to move out without any words using eye contact and body language. So she used at least two nonverbal codes which makes C the most accurate answer.

What is a current piece of social change that you think people in society are resistant to? why do you think this resistance is
aleksklad [387]
In our current world two societal changes are happening very quickly:

1. The mainstream of LGBTQ community and their marriage rights

2. The development of Multiple Genders or the concept of Gender Fluidity

A large part of the American population is still resistant to the above concepts and even though gay marriages are legal and there is a huge liberal support for these movements, things are different in the American heartland.

Both these concepts completely change the model of a society as we know if it. It seeks to present gender and gender roles as a 'social construct' and tries to move people away from 'traditional marriages' in what they say is modern human society.

Not only tradition, both concepts are also alien to the Christian faith which categorically defines marriage as between a man and a women. The Christian faith also defines Gay relationships as immoral and sinful.

Hence, in the coming decades we will continue to see huge resistance from conservatives against these movements but it is possible that in the half century, most of America is supporting these changes.

maxonik [38]

Explanation:

Give Tom a verbal warning

Tom works in an international firm. Hanks works as a supervisor and Tom works under Hanks.

Hanks often notices that Tom extends his lunch breaks and most of the time leaves early from office to home. Hanks is not very happy from Tom's such behavior and wants to use a progressive disciplinary method to change Tom's behavior.

So next time when Hank observes Tom doing the same thing leaving early from office and taking long lunch breaks, Hanks should personally give Tom a verbal warning and ask him not to behave in this way.

Thus then answer is "Give Tom a verbal warning".
