The bag will often contain all three items every 70 bags ⇒ answer C

Step-by-step explanation:

At a display booth at an amusement park, every visitor gets a gift bag

according to these information:

1. Hat Every 2nd visitor

2. T-shirt Every 7th visitor

3. Backpack Every 10th visitor

We need to know how often a bag will contain all three items

To solve this problem you must find a number divisible by 2, 7, and 10

To find that number start with the multiples of the largest one and

check them with the other two numbers

∵ The largest number is 10

∵ The multiples of 10 are 10 , 20 , 30 , 40 , 50 , 60 , 70 , 80 , .......

- Look for the first multiple of 10 is divisible by 7

∵ 70 is the first multiple of 10 divisible by 7

∵ 70 is divisible by 2 because its even number

∴ 70 is the smallest number divisible by 2, 7 and 10

The bag will often contain all three items every 70 bags

A mountaineer climbed 1,000 feet at a rate of x feet per hour. He climbed an additional 5,000 feet at a different rate. This rat

Your question asks for an expression, so you would expect an answer in the form of an equation containing variables. This is because you have only 2 independent equations with 3 unknowns. That makes the system unsolvable.

Suppose v₁ is the mountaineer's velocity during the 1,000-foot trail. Then, v₂ is his speed for the 5,000-foot trail. The equation relating these two variables is:

v₂ = 2v₁ - 10 ---> equation 1

Then, you find the equation for the total number of hours he climbed. That would be the distance divided by their respective speed.

t = 1000/v₁ + 5000/v₂ ----> equation 2

Substituting equation 1 to equation 2,

t = 1000/v₁ + 5000/(2v₁ - 10)
t = 1000/v₁ + 5000/2(v₁-5)
t = 1,000/v₁ + 2,500/(v₁-5)

The scores of the students on a standardized test are normally distributed, with a mean of 500 and a standard deviation of 110.
ololo11 [35]
Μ = 500, population mean
σ = 110, population stadard deviation

The given table is
z  0.00       0.25       0.35      0.45      1.00      1.26       1.35     1.36
P  0.5000  0.5987  0.6368  0.6736  0.8413  0.8961  0.9115  0.9131

Range of random variable is X = [350, 550].

Calculate z-score for x = 350.
z = (350 - 500)/110 = -1.364
From the given tables,
The probability at x = 350 is
1 - 9131 = 0.0869

Calculate the z-score for x = 550.
z = (550 - 500)/110 = 0.454
From the given tables,
The probability at x = 550 is 0.6736

The probability that x =[350,550] is
0.6736 - 0.0869 = 0.5867

Answer:  0.5867  (or 58.7%)
