Rosa drew a flow chart of the carbon cycle. The carbon cycle with 4 boxes connected by arrows. Box 1: carbon dioxide in the atmo

sphere. Box 2: X. Box 3: consumers eat producers. Box 4: Y. The arrow that follows box 4 connects to box 1. Which labels best complete the flow chart? X: Producers undergo photosynthesis. Y: Decomposers return carbon to the soil and release waste. X: Decomposers return carbon to the soil and release waste. Y: Producers undergo photosynthesis. X: Decomposers take in carbon dioxide. Y: Producers absorb carbon through their roots. X: Producers absorb carbon through their roots. Y: Decomposers take in carbon dioxide.

Answer:

X: Producers undergo photosynthesis. Y: Decomposers return carbon to the soil and release waste.

Explanation:

Producers utilize carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere as a source of carbon for the production of organic compounds during the process of photosynthesis. According to the flow chart the producers are consumed by the consumers. (Box 3) Decomposers break down the dead consumers and give back the carbon present in the bodies of the consumer to the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide.

Atmospheric carbon dioxide ---> X ---> Consumers eat producers ---> Y

If the mutation occurred where one base was changed to another within the cutting area of a restriction enzyme what would happen
natima [27]

The base change in the mutation of the cutting area of a restriction enzyme would determine whether a person is the bearer of that particular DNA.

Explanation:

The digestion of nucleic acid is done by the enzymes of restriction. It helps in recognizing the nucleotides sequence inside a DNA strand.  It’s use detects in a DNA the points of mutation and helps in eliminating the need of sequencing.

This enzyme cuts DNA which later can be seen by using electrophoresis gel the bearing of the sequence by an individual. But this enzyme won’t recognize the site if any nucleotide pair is replaced.

When you stub your toe, you first feel a quick, sharp pain transmitted by _______, and then a moment later, a dull, throbbing pa
Zielflug [23.3K]

Answer: The correct answer to the question is option A

A-delta fibers; C fibers

When you stub your toe, you first feel a quick, sharp pain transmitted by A-DELTA FIBERS, and then a moment later, a dull, throbbing pain transmitted by C FIBERS

A-delta fibers are sensory nerve fibers that stimulate pain receptors, they transmit sensory information while C fibers are class if fibers found in the somatic sensory system, they are afferent fibers that conveys input signals from the periphery to the central nervous system.

Explanation: When one stubs the toe,the second-fastest nerve fibers carry messages not from the touch receptors, but the pain receptors; that explains the sharp pain a split second after the thud. They cause what's called second pain, the throbbing pain you feel a few seconds after you stub your toe.

When the toe is stubbed, the impact is felt first before the pain, you're slamming it with a force that is equal to 2-3 times your body weight. (that's about the same force as a karate punch) since the toe has a tiny surface area, that force can't spread out. So the pain stays concentrated at the point of impact before pain is felt, this happens as a result of nerve fibers processing the painful stimuli which brings about that feelings/sensation of pain, and it reverts back after the painful stimulus has been removed.

Stubbing of the tie brings about throbbing toe pain, swelling and bruising.
