Answer:

Dividend in year 7 will be calculated as follows:

D3 = Do(1+g)n = 1.10(1+0.08)3

D7= Do(1+g)n(1+g)n = 1.10(1.08)3(1+0.02)4 = $1.4999

Explanation:

In the first instance, we need to calculate dividend in 3 year's time based on current dividend paid at 8% growth rate. Thereafter, we also need to calculate dividend from from year 4 to year 7(4 years) based on the new growth rate of 2%. The combination of these growth regimes gives the dividend in year 7.

Pepper Corporation owns 75 percent of Salt Company's voting shares. During 20X8, Pepper produced 50,000 chairs at a cost of $79
Margarita [4]

Answer:

A. $2,765,000

Explanation:

Data provided

Number of chairs sold = 35,000

Cost per chair = $79

The computation of cost of goods sold of Pepper is shown below:-

Cost of goods sold = Number of chairs sold × Cost per chair

= 35,000 × $79

= $2,765,000

Therefore for computing the amount of cost of goods sold of pepper we simply multiply the number of chairs sold with cost per chair

A town has many fast food restaurants, which charge an average of $6 for a hamburger. However, one fast food restaurant charges
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

The correct answer is the option C: the restaurant has been around for many years and the customers have a nostalgic preference for it.

Explanation:

It is quite understood that if a restaurant has a wide number of loyal customers due to their brand recognition then that company will ultimately tend to charge a higher price to the customers because of their loyalty. However, this unique situation of loyalty may not explain completely how that business could do it when there are many other competitors around the same region, and therefore that if an explanation must be found to why the company can charge more and still remain competitive then more details of the company's strategy must be revealed.

lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:

FV =  2,621,048.23

Explanation:

we will calcualte the future value of an annuity with an geometric progression:

\frac{(1+r)^{n} -(1+q)^{n}}{r - q} = FV

g 0.03

r 0.092

C 5,356 ( we will save next year (52,000 x 1.03) the 10% )

n 39 (we start saving next year)

\frac{(1+0.092)^{39} -(1+0.03)^{39}}{0.092 - 0.03} = FV

FV = 2,400,227.319

As we deposit at the first day of the year this will be an annuity-due so we will multiply by (1 +r)

FV =  2,621,048.23
