Answer:

Dividend in year 7 will be calculated as follows:

D3 = Do(1+g)n = 1.10(1+0.08)3

D7= Do(1+g)n(1+g)n = 1.10(1.08)3(1+0.02)4 = $1.4999

Explanation:

In the first instance, we need to calculate dividend in 3 year's time based on current dividend paid at 8% growth rate. Thereafter, we also need to calculate dividend from from year 4 to year 7(4 years) based on the new growth rate of 2%. The combination of these growth regimes gives the dividend in year 7.

lina2011 [118]

Answer:

I took some work home because I had to meet an important deadline the next morning. If I am able to finish the work on time and do it correctly, then there is a chance of getting either a promotion or a pay raise. If I cannot complete it on time, I will not get fired, but any chances of a promotion or pay raise in the near will vanish.

Since I was working at home, I couldn't prepare anything for dinner, so I decided to buy food on a website and get it delivered home. I spent $20 on my dinner, even though I could have prepared a similar dinner for $5.

I was willing to pay for the expensive meal because the opportunity cost of preparing dinner instead was too high. I can afford to pay $15 more for eating, but I cannot afford to lose the opportunity of a promotion or a pay raise. Even if I do not get them immediately, not completing my job would have made it much harder to get it in the future.

My decision is rational because I was sacrificing a small amount of money in order to preserve something that is really valuable for me (promotion or pay raise).

All resources are scarce, and in this case, time was scarce. So I had to decide which action was more valuable and which action could yield a higher benefit.

Bypassing regular sales channels in favor of Internet retailing can have strong appeal if it A. D) includes partnering rather th
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

Option A.

Includes partnering rather than competing with existing distributors

Explanation:

Through internet retailing, a business can partner with other distributors and enlist the products of the distributors on their website along side their products. They can charge a fee for each product sold via their platform, which can serve as additional revenue to the business, without much extra costs. This is because the platform is already available.

This is the business model that companies such as Amazon apply. They enlist products of other businesses on their online platform, sell them and make some profit for themselves.

This is what gives internet retailing a strong appeal.

Zarrin [17]

Answer:

'Safety Needs' from 'Basic Needs'

Explanation:

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a psychological theory, stating the priority ranking in which individuals seek to fulfil their needs.

  • Basic Needs : Physiological needs (food, water, shelter) and Safety needs (security , wealth base)
  • Psychological Needs : Love, Belongingness needs (good family, friends bonds) and Self Esteem needs (prestige, self accomplishment)
  • Self Fulfilment Needs : Self Realisation needs (enhancing growth potential, creative activities)

Elias works as a fire fighter. Although she prioritises protection from safety equipment ; she still bought a 'disability insurance' with income protection. This act highlights towards Elias fulfilling / prioritising her : Safety Needs (Security of body, health, employment, resources, family welfare, property); broadly from 'Basic Needs'.

In 2019, Forever Young, Inc. sold land for $ 110 comma 000 cash, purchased equipment for $ 18 comma 000 cash and issued bonds
True [87]

Answer:

The Net cash provided by investing activities is $172,000.

Hence, the correct option is B. $ 172 comma 000.

Explanation:

Given:

In 2019, Forever Young, Inc. sold land for $ 110,000 cash, purchased equipment for $ 18,000 cash and issued bonds for $ 80,000 cash.

Now, to find the Net cash activities.

Land sold of cash = $110,000.

Equipment purchased of cash = $18,000.

Bonds issued of cash = $80,000.

Now, to get the Net cash activities we put formula:

Net cash activities = Land sold - Equipment purchased + Bonds issued

                               =110,000-18,000+80,000\\\\=110,000+62,000\\\\=172,000.

Therefore, the Net cash provided by investing activities is $172,000.

Hence, the correct option is B. $ 172 comma 000.
