Answer:

Perimeter of triangle is 18.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

segment PQ = 1.8

segment PR = 8.2

∠PQR =90°

Since triangle is a right angle triangle with right angle at ∠Q.

Now by using Pythagoras theorem we get;

The square of one side is equal to sum  of the square of other two side.

PQ^2+QR^2 = PR^2

Substituting the given value we get;

(1.8)^2+QR^2 = (8.2)^2\\\\3.24+QR^2 = 67.24\\\\QR^2 = 67.24-3.24\\\\QR^2= 64

Now taking square root on both side we get;

\sqrt{QR^2} =\sqrt{64} \\\\QR = 8

Now we need to find the perimeter of the triangle.

Perimeter of triangle is sum of all three side.

Framing in equation form we get;

Perimeter of triangle = PQ + QR +PR = 1.8 + 8 + 8.2 = 18

Hence Perimeter of triangle is 18.

Ahat [919]

Answer:

10:9

Step-by-step explanation:

First ratio is 5:4. 4 is equal to Henry class

If you múltiply the ratio by 2 you get

10:8, This ratio can be compared because now Henry class has 8

troy's truck has a 30 gallon gas tank and gets an average of 21 miles per gallon.write an equation to represent the amount of ga
GuDViN [60]

Let

x---------> represent the number of miles Troy's has driven

y--------> represent the amount of gas in Troy's truck

we know that

the equation that represents the amount of gas, y, in troy' s truck after driving a certain number of miles, x is

y-y1=m*(x-x1)

where

m is the slope---------> \frac{gallon}{miles}

in this problem the slope is equal to -\frac{1}{21} \frac{gallons}{miles}

it's negative because the tank is going to be consumed

assuming he starts with a full tank

for\ x=0\ y=30\  gal

substitute in the formula above

y-y1=m*(x-x1)\\\\ y-30=-\frac{1}{21}*(x-0)\\\\ y=-\frac{x}{21}+30

therefore

the answer is

the equation y=-\frac{x}{21}+30

Ellen thinks that if a line has no slope, then it never touches the y-axis. Which line proves that her statement is incorrect?
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

Option D

Step-by-step explanation:

A horizontal line has no slope. The equation 'y=1' graphs as a horizontal line. It passes (0,1). So, it touches the y-axis.

A line with an undefined slope does not touch the y-axis. It is vertical.

Option D should be the correct answer.
