Answer: A - Limestone that contains coral fossils probably developed in a deep sea

Explanation: Limestone is a sedimentary rock  which is formed on the sea floor where material rich in calcium carbonate accumulates. Sedements that form the limestone are bryozoa , corals , crinoids  and  microscopic algae  shells.

Limestones originate as soft lime muds, shells and other fragments of the organisms living in the water. When these sediments are buried under others, they are compacted, the water is squeezed out of pore spaces and, in some cases, mineral grains are physically re-organised or chemically changed by the pressure.

25,000 shares reacquired by Elixir Corporation for $53 per share were exchanged for undeveloped land that has an appraised value
Olegator [25]

Answer:

XX date. Acquisition of land in exchange for treasury stock.

Dr Land $1,550,000

    Cr Treasury Stock $1,325,000

    Cr Paid in Capital $225,000

Explanation:

Since the corporation uses the cost method, the transaction is recorded at purchase value regardless of current stock price.

treasury stock = 25,000 x $53 = $1,325,000

paid in capital = ($62 - $53) x 25,000 = $225,000

cost of the land = $1,325,000 + $225,000 = $1,550,000

RUDIKE [14]

Answer: B) subtle discrimination based on secondary characteristics.

Explanation:

There are Primary and Secondary Characteristics of Diversity.

Secondary Characteristics of Diversity are those attributes that can be changed and include but are not limited to, educational background, geographic location, income, marital status, weight, religious beliefs, and work experiences.

The attributes that Bob says he has no problems with are PRIMARY in nature but he seems to have problems with the weight and educational backgrounds of some employees and insinuates that they are less efficient at doing what he does.

This is subtle discrimination and it is based on their secondary attributes.

The options in this question are missing; here is the missing section:

What two types of departmentalization are illustrated in this example?

A. Product and customer

B. Product and geographical

C. Customer and geographical

D. Functional and customer

E. Geographical and functional

The answer to this question is B. Product and geographical

Explanation:

Departmentalization refers to the creation of departments, units, etc. in businesses to better achieve goals and distribute roles and activities. This can be based on location, products, function, etc.

In the case of Spicy Dish, there is a clear geographical departmentalization because this distributor has created units based on location, due to this, the company has a unit in each major geographical region such as North America, Europe, etc. Moreover, this company has created units based on products because in North America they created two different units and each specializes in one of their products (beans/salsa.)

The overhead costs for a company are presently $X per month. The management team of the company in cooperation with the employee
andre [41]

Answer:

31.42%

Explanation:

The computation of the estimate of the percentage reduction in present overhead costs per month is shown below:-

n = log s ÷ log2

= log 0.90 ÷ log 2

= -0.152

Now we will use the learning curve equation  which is here below:

Z30 = 1.15X × 30^(-0.152)

= 0.685765148

So, the cost is reduced by

= 1 - 0.685765148

= 0.314234852

or

= 31.42%
