Socialization is a twofold process occurring at both the social and individual levels that accomplishes two main goals. First, i

t teaches members the skills necessary to satisfy basic human needs and to defend themselves against danger, thus ensuring that society itself will continue to exist. Second, socialization teaches individuals the norms, values, and beliefs associated with their culture and provides ways to ensure that members adhere to their shared way of life. Identify each scenario as accomplishing either the first or second goal of socialization, as discussed in the textbook.

Answer:

 1. Scenario accomplishing first goal: Children learning from the behavior of others.
 2. Scenario accomplishing second goal: School communicating norms of their society to the students.

Explanation:

 • Children learning from the behavior of others: This process occurs at individual level. When a kid grows up he learns different skills or behaviors by observing his surrounding which helps him live in the society he is currently in.
 • School communicating norms of their society to the students: Schools in every society creates rules for students which comply to the norms of their society. What schools try to do is communicate those norms to the students so that they may learn to exist and adapt the society as it is.

pshichka [43]

Answer:

I think the central idea of the passage is that the family Otzi's father is common in Europe.

Explanation:

My justification for my answer is that his DNA kind of matched the one of the people living in the Neolithic Age. This shows that maybe he was a descendant of those people.

I think the first answer is wrong because people of the Neolithic Age were from the past and I don't think DNA existed by then.

And the think the second is wrong because his mother's family was just rare it wasn't complex.

Finally the last is wrong because the DNA wasn't so hard to test it was also easy to compare it because there were other samples to be compared with.

That leaves us with the last answer as correct.

Komok [63]
The world controller orders the hatchery to create embryos with different intelligence levels to fit into different sections of society. Alphas require a lot of intelligence to perform complex activities like Bernard's job of overseeing the night-time conditioning of the young. By comparison, the lowest cast, Epsilons, are deprived of oxygen during embryonic formation and given alcohol to ensure they will have very little intelligence and thus be fit for the lowest jobs in society.
