I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST Read the passage. It remains to be explained why Ötzi's maternal lineage [mother’s family line] has disap

peared, while his paternal lineage [father’s family line]—named G2a—still exists in Europe. To clarify this point, researchers at EURAC compared Ötzi's . . . DNA . . . with available data from numerous ancient samples found at 14 different archaeological sites throughout Europe. The results showed that the paternal lineage of Ötzi' was very common in different regions in Europe during the Neolithic Age, while his maternal lineage probably existed only in the Alps. –"New Discoveries Concerning Ötzi's Genetic History,” European Academy of Bozen/Bolzano (EURAC) What is the central idea of this passage? Ötzi lived during the Neolithic age. The family line of Ötzi’s mother is very complex. Ötzi’s DNA is too complex to study in a lab setting. The family line of Ötzi’s father is common in Europe.

Answer:

I think the central idea of the passage is that the family Otzi's father is common in Europe.

Explanation:

My justification for my answer is that his DNA kind of matched the one of the people living in the Neolithic Age. This shows that maybe he was a descendant of those people.

I think the first answer is wrong because people of the Neolithic Age were from the past and I don't think DNA existed by then.

And the think the second is wrong because his mother's family was just rare it wasn't complex.

Finally the last is wrong because the DNA wasn't so hard to test it was also easy to compare it because there were other samples to be compared with.

That leaves us with the last answer as correct.

Dr. Andorski is working with a client whom he believes suffers from a personality disorder, but the symptoms do not fall clearly
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is D. He should not make any diagnosis at all, since no condition in DSM-5 is satisfied by this clinical case.

Explanation:

Let's discard one by one.

Option A.

He should create a new diagnosis and inform the authors of the DSM-5.

Why not: Diagnostic labels cannot be created from one particular case. A psychiatrist or clinical psychologist is not entitled to create or formulate a personality disorder just because he/she feels like it.

Option B.

He should diagnose the client with Unspecified Personality Disorder (UPD)

Why not: In the DSM-5 the diagnosis of unspecified personality disorder is made only to enhance the specificity of an existing personality disorder.

Option C.

He should diagnose a different condition such as depression or anxiety as a "place holder" until the true nature of the personality problems is more fully understood.

Why not: This course of action is not ethical. Clinicians must not misdiagnose patients just because they feel like it. Diagnosing a patient with depression or anxiety without them falling within the diagnostic criteria is medical negligence.

In conclusion, the correct answer is D. He should not make any diagnosis at all, since no condition in DSM-5 is satisfied by this clinical case.

bearhunter [10]
The answer to this question is: Valid

For example, let's say that a researcher wants to study the psychology of motivation as a variable.
In this case, motivation does not possess a measurable standard that could be used as data, so the researcher could only predict thte amount of motivation through the amount of job done (but this data is reliable because motivation is only on of the many factors that may influenced it)

Which of these was not a key difference between Northern and Southern states at the Constitutional Convention?

OPTIONS:

A) Wanting to protect states' interests vs. a government with strict rules.

B) Having more, larger cities vs. having fewer, smaller cities.

C) Wanting to protect agriculture vs. protect industries.

D) Having many enslaved people vs, using less enslaved labor.

The option that was not a key difference between Northern and Southern states at the Constitutional Convention was "Wanting to protect states' interests vs. a government with strict rules."

During the Convention, there were many differences between the Northern and the Southern states by the time the Constitutional Convention was held in 1787. The purpose of this Constitutional Convention was to modify the Articles of the Confederation, established after the victory over England in the Revolutionary War.

The Constitutional Convention was held from May 14 to September 17, 1787, in the city of Philadelphia, where the delegates proposed a series of plans to create the new form of government and unite the colonies. One of the more problematic issues in the discussions was the topic of slavery.
