Answer:

Information technology achitecture can be defined as a detailed description of the various information processing assets that is needed to achieve business objectives.

Explanation:

In our world today, businesses thrive on information. Information technology achitecture focuses on three basic tiers in an organization which are the server, middleware and client.

At PepsiAmericas, the next Gen initiative convinced executives that they needed to drive value from technology intiatives. Technology provided a common plartform for standardized business processes.

The first initiative by Johnsen created an IT governance board which included the ceo Robert pohland and the coo ken keiser.

Pepsi Americas recognised the achitectural and structural difference between each of its subsidiaries and itself.

On the otherhand, Operational excellence can be defined as the provision of reliable products and services to customers at competitive prices. whereas customer intimacy is targeting and segmenting markets and offers matching exactly to the demands of the niche.

Operational excellence means to strip off operational cost so as to deliver competitive price.

Pepsi Americas employees realised that driver turnover were no longer important. and that recessions would require that operations would change. Therefore, pepsiAmericas had to reevaluate their operations as demand was reducing and had to find a way not to waste resources.

Larry Nelson holds 1,000 shares of General Electric common stock. The annual shareholders meeting is being held soon, but as a m
Lisa [10]

Answer:

Larry must have signed a PROXY AGREEMENT that gives the management group control over his shares.

A proxy agreement is generally used for stockholders voting procedures, they basically grant another person the right to vote on behalf of another stockholder.

Larry's current investment in the company is $86,000.

= 2,000 stocks x $43 = $86,000

If the company issues new shares and Larry makes no additional purchase, Larry's investment will be worth $82,560.

company's new market value = (20,000 x $43) + (5,000 x $34.40) = $1,032,000

new stock price = $1,032,000 / 25,000 stocks = $41.28

= $41.28 x 2,000 = $82,560

This scenario is an example of STOCK DILUTION.

The stock price will lower because the increase in the company's value is less than proportional to the increase in the number of stocks.

Larry could be protected if the firm's corporate charter includes a PREEMPTIVE provision.

Preemptive rights give current stockholders the right to purchase more stocks (in case the company issues more stocks) before any outside investors.

If Larry exercises the provisions in the corporate charter to protect his stake, his investment value in the firm will become $103,200.

= [(5,000 / 10) x $34.40] + $86,000 = $17,200 + $86,000 = $103,200

Hatshy [7]

Answer: Apportionment

Explanation: Apportionment is also known as analogous estimating which is used when projects closely follow past projects in features and costs. As a result, in addition to good historical data, estimates regarding project feature, cost and duration can be made quickly, with little effort and reasonable accuracy to various segments of the current project. The method of apportionment is very common in projects that are relatively standard, but with little variation or customisation.

Mentally estimate the total cost of items that have the following prices: $1.85, $.98, $3.49, $9.78, and $6.18. Round off your a
Nonamiya [84]

Answer: Option (c) is correct.

Explanation:

Given that,

Round off the values of items to the nearest half dollar are as follows:

Item 1 = $2.00

Item 2 = $1.00

Item 3 = $3.50

Item 4 = $10.00

Item 5 = $6.00

Estimated total cost of items = Item 1 + Item 2 + Item 3 + Item 4 + Item 5

= $2.00 + $1.00 + $3.50 + $10.00 + $6.00

= $22.50

Hence, nearest value is $22.50.

Therefore, option (c) is correct.

A person's website specializes in the sale of rare or unusual vegetable seeds. He sells packets of sweet-pepper seeds for $2.
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

7 packets of sweet-pepper seeds and 9 packet of hot-pepper seeds.

Explanation:

Let x packets of sweet-pepper seeds for $2.16 each and y packets of hot-pepper seeds for $4.24 each are mixed to obtain 16-packet mixed pepper assortment for $3.33 per packet,

i.e. x + y = 16 ..........(1)

Also,

The price of sweet-pepper seeds + price of hot pepper seeds = price of the mixture

⇒ 2.16x + 4.24y = 3.33(x+y)

⇒ 2.16x + 4.24y = 3.33x+3.33y

⇒ 2.16x + 4.24y - 3.33x-3.33y = 0

⇒ −1.17x +0.91y = 0 ........(2)

Equation (2) + 1.17 × equation (1)

0.91y + 1.17y = 18.72

2.08y = 18.72

⇒ y = 9

From equation (1),

x + 9 = 16 ⇒ x = 16 - 9 ⇒ x = 7

Hence, there are 7 packets of sweet-pepper seeds and 9 packet of hot-pepper seeds.
