Answer:

endowed with magical powers that allowed them to gain large groups of followers.

Explanation:

Rishabha and the other early Tirthankaras have their roots in Hindu religious texts. They were believed to be the avatars of Lord Vishnu. Rishabha is believed to be the first Tirthankaras among the other twenty-four Tirthankaras.

Rishabha is also believed to be the founder of Jainism. Rishabha along with the other early Tirthankaras are believed to have been endowed with magical powers that allowed them to gain large groups of followers.

They were revered as the savior of the people and spiritual teachers who helped people in leading a religious path.

Pie

Answer:

The explanation for the aggression is consistent with the social learning theory by Albert Bandura.

Explanation:

The psychologist Albert Bandura was interested on the basis of human interaction and made the famous Bobo doll experiment.

The experiment consisted on testing the imitation influence, specially of aggression behavior, in two groups of children. The first group was in a non-aggressive environment. The kids of the second group watched several times their teacher kicking and hitting, also insulting, a Bobo doll (an inflatable toy with painted image of a doll). In both groups, after spending some time in their respective environment, the teacher gave them the Bobo doll. The results showed that most of the kids, in the second group (with the aggressive environment) were more liable to also kicked and hit the toy, as seen with the teacher; while, on the other hand, most kids of the first group were not.

Based on this experiment, prof. Bandura developed the social learning theory that supports that, both children and adults learn and develop disposition to do certain things by imitation, based on the behavior that they observe in others. Prof. Bandura emphasizes that aggression is a very imitable behavior.

This is why the explanation given by Johnny's parents about his behavior is consistent with the social learning theory, because they are recognizing violent behavior in the video games that Johnny constantly watches and plays. So, his parents are saying that he is acting aggressively because he is imitating the behavior shown and experienced in the video games.

b. See Explanation

Explanation: The external influence here that would worsen Alexis' disordered eating is constantly seeing models in fashion and mainstream magazines. The modeling industry is notorious for forcing models to maintain a low, unhealthy weight. If Alexis accepts this as a normal weight for women, it could contribute to her eating disorder.

The full diagnostic criteria listed by the DSM–IV–TR for eating disorders is the list of criteria for diagnosing Binge eating disorder, Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia nervosa.

Binge eating disorder: eating more than is required to feel full within a 2 hour period, eating quickly than normal or when not hungry. Any of these may occur at least twice a week for 6 months .

Anorexia nervosa: an individual has less than 85% of the ideal Body Mass Index, a measure of the healthy body weight and has missed more than 2 menstrual periods.

Bulimia nervosa involves inducing purging, vomiting or extreme exercise at least twice a week for at least 3 months .
