An emotional speech is a kind of speech that is characterized not only by what one says but, also, very importantly, by how it is said. The idea is to be able to stir emotions in the audience in order to persuade them to conform to the object or purpose of the speech. In politics, this kind of speech if often used in order to convince people of the importance of a given social and political stance that needs to be supported over competing claims.
