11 cakes

Thats the answer becuase 11 times 200= 2200 which is alittle bit greater than 2176 so that would be the smallest profit

hram777 [196]

Answer:0.5714\frac{1}{15}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Bill, George, and Ross, in order, roll a die.

The first one to roll an even number wins and the game is ended.

Since Bill starts the game he can win by throwing even number or lose by throwing odd number

P(win) = 0.5, otherwise, the die will go to George.  For Bill to win, both George and Ross should throw an odd number so that Bill again gets the chance with game non ending.

Thus we have Prob of Bill winning =P of Bill winning in I throw +P of Bill winning in his II chance of throw +....infinitely

To get back the dice once he loses probability

= p both throws odd = 0.5(0.5) = 0.25

Thus Prob for Bill winning

= 0.5+0.25(0.5)^2+0.25(0.5)^3(0.25)+...

This is an infinite geometric series with I term 0.5 and common ratio 0.125<1

Sum = \frac{a}{1-r} =\frac{0.5}{1-0.125} =0.5714

Half angle tan 5pi/8
Bond [772]
The half-angle formula for tangent is:

tan(a/2) = (sin a / (1 + cos a)) = ((1 - cos a) / sin a)

Now we can plug in values:

tan(5π/8) = (sin(5π/4) / (1 + cos(5π/4)) = ((1 - cos(5π/4)) / sin(5π/4)

tan(5π/8) = (-√2/2) / (1 + (-√2/2)) = (1 - (-√2/2)) / (-√2/2)

tan(5π/8) = ((-√2/2)) / ((2 - √2)/2) = ((2 + √2)/2) / (-√2/2)

Now we can solve the first half:

(-√2/2)(2 / (2 - √2))
(-√2/2)((4 + 2√2) / 2)
(-√2/2)(2 + √2)
(-2√2 - 2)/2
-√2 - 1

tan(5pi/8) = -√2 - 1

Mei and Anju are sitting next to each other on different horses on a carousel. Mei's horse is 3 meters from the center of the
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

2\pi \approx 6.28\ meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Mei's horse is 3 meters from the center of the carousel. After one rotation, Mei travelled

l_M=2\pi r=2\pi \cdot 3=6\pi\ meters

Anju's horse is 2 meters from the center. After one rotation, Mei travelled

l_A=2\pi r=2\pi \cdot 2=4\pi\ meters

The difference in their travelled distances is

l_M-l_A=6\pi -4\pi =2\pi \approx 6.28\ meters
