Yes, we can recover it. But not the same as before. Maybe we will make a new one. By planting trees and cleaning the area. The loss of biodiversity has two significant impacts on human health and the spread of disease. First, it increases the number of disease carrying animals in local populations. ... At the same time, habitat fragmentation brings humans in closer and more frequent contact with these disease carrying species.Participating in Biodiversity Conservation. Identify locations of critical wildlife habitat for species at risk and the threats to these areas. ... Keep vehicles on main roads to reduce the spread of weeds and disturbance to wildlife. Monitor and assess your pets' impact on biodiversity.

What will most likely happen to the population of moths in this habitat? The population of moths will eventually become extinct.
blsea [12.9K]

The answer is; The moths will evolve due to selective pressure.

The allele for dark colored moths will be favored by natural selection over the allele for light-colored moths. This is because of the selective pressure of predation. Black moths are able to camouflage in their environment while light-colored moths stand out to their predators. More black moths are therefore able to pass down their genes than light-colored moths. Successive generation will, therefore, have more and more black moths.

How would a geologist use absolute dating to determine the age of sedimentary layers? by dating the age of intrusions and extrus
ad-work [718]

Answer:

Radiometric dating methods

Explanation:

Absolute dating is the process of determining an age on a chronological or specified time scale in which events occurred in archaeology and geology. Absolute dating can be determined by using properties of the atoms that make up materials.

The most common method of absolute dating uses by geologists is radiometric dating methods which is based on the natural radioactive decay of certain elements such as potassium and carbon found in the rocks. By comparing the ratio of parent isotope with a known half-life to daughter product in the rock, the age of the rock can be determined.

The carbon-14 isotope is used in radiocarbon dating, but is only useful for measuring recently formed rocks in the geologic past. The decay of Potassium-40 isotope known as potassium-argon (K-Ar) method allows dating of materials that up to 1,000 billion years old.

Explain by a series of statements or steps how a tree trunk gets wider.
Alex73 [517]

Answer:

A tree will get wider by the secondary growth of the cells. This happens when the cell growth of the cambia or lateral meristems causes them to elongate and become primary tissue.

The site below gives a detailed description of secondary growth.
