Answer:

<u>The volume of the sphere = 169.78 unit³</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

The rest of the question is the attached figure.

As shown at the attached figure.

ΔKOS is a right triangle at O

KS is the hypotenuse

So, OS = √(KS² - OK²) = √(8.9² - 3.8²) = √64.77

let KS contact the sphere at P, and the center of the sphere is Q

So, both of KP and KO are a tanget to the sphere

∴ KP = OK = 3.8

As shown:

PQ // OK

So, \frac{KP}{KS} =\frac{OQ}{OS}

∴ OQ = OS * KP/KS = √64.77 * 3.8/8.9 = 3.436

OQ is radius of the sphere

The volume of the sphere = V = (4/3) π r³   , π = 3.14

∴ V = (4/3) * 3.14 * (3.436)³ = 169.78 unit³

<u>So, the volume of the sphere = 169.78 unit³</u>

Samantha trades through a broker. On December 12, Samantha purchased stock worth $2,500. Later in the day, she sold her stock in
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

$20

Step-by-step explanation:

Broker's usually take a percentage of the money made or a fixed amount no matter how much is traded.

Here, the broker charges $10 per trade. So, it doesn't matter how much you do trade, the broker will charge $10 PER TRANSACTION.

Samantha bought stocks worth 2500 (1 transaction)

Samantha sold these again for 2750 (1 transaction).

So there were 2 trades made by Samantha.

So broker would charge $10 + $10 = $20

If the x- and y-values in each pair of a set of ordered pairs are interchanged, the resulting set of ordered pairs is known as t
dem82 [27]

Answer:

Inverse of a function

Step-by-step explanation:

If the x- and y-values in each pair of a set of ordered pairs are interchanged, the resulting set of ordered pairs is known as the inverse of a function.

For example, given the following function:

y = 2x

If x=0 → y= 0

If x=1 → y= 2

If x=2 → y= 4

Now, if we find the inverse of the function:

y = 2x → x = 2y → y = x/2

Now:

If x=0 → y= 0

If x=2 → y= 1

If x=4 → y= 2

Comparing both cases, you will notice that the ordered pairs are effectively interchanged.
