Answer:

Avant-garde

The above word has it's origins in French language which means to “vanguard” or “fore-guard” or "to protect".

It was as a military term used to describe a small troop of highly skilled soldiers who went before the rest of the army to survey the terrain and communicate any dangers perceived.

Hikmet was introduced to the world of rhymes and verses at a very early age, his grandfather being one of the major influences.

By the time he was seventeen, he had published the first volume of his poems. Soon after this, he joined the Naval War School during the First World War and worked as a teacher in an school located in the eastern parts of Turkey. It was during this period that he started nursing the avant-garde ideas.

He was attracted by the promises by the Russian Revolution of egalitarianism. Nazim Hikmet went to Moscow in 1922. There he got himself admitted into the University of Moscow and where he studied Sociology and Economics.

In 1924, after the Turkish Liberation War, he returned to Turkey in 1924 but was arrested shortly afterwards for his writings in a Communist magazine. In 1926, two years later, he managed to escape to Moscow where he continued writing.

Answer:

Nazim Hikmet, a Turkish poet, spent time in the Soviet Union. During this time, he saw many instances of famine and poverty on his way to Moscow. He was so deeply influences by the revolution that he decided to break the set boundaries of the classical rhymes which had a religious connection and were so preserved. He developed a lawful insight and questioned the wrong happening around him. His style of writing completely changed after coming back. "Avant-garde" means "to protect", a military term used to describe a small troop of highly skilled soldiers who went before the rest of the army to survey the terrain and communicate any dangers perceived. Hikmet was put out into a world of rhythms, his grandfather being the main man. When he was seventeen, he published his first volume of poems and went to Naval War School during the WW1. In 1924, after the Turkish Liberation War, he returned to Turkey in 1924 but was arrested shortly afterwards for his writings in a Communist magazine. In 1926, two years later, he managed to escape to Moscow where he continued writing.

How does acceptance of responsibility influence effective communication
Virty [35]

During a conflict one can either accept responsibility or not (depending, or course, on whether the conflict is resulting from a fault of one’s own). If responsibility is accepted, the communication that ensues is honest and can be constructive resulting in an understanding that can generally be achieved when both sides are fully listening to each other and trying to understand the opposite perspective. If responsibility is denied, what usually happens is that “walls” go up and little listening takes place and, because instead of listening one is generally trying to decide what to say next in order to defend himself or herself, an understanding (with regard to effective communicating) cannot be achieved.

"BRIGHT CITY LIGHTS ARE KEEPING OCEAN PREDATORS AWAKE AND HUNGRY" by Damon Bolton Which statement best describes the central ide
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

D.

Explanation:

'Bright City Lights Are Keeping Ocean Predators Awake and Hungry' is an article written by Damon Bolton. The article talks about the affects of street-lights offshore on sea life.

In his article, Bolton asserts that light pollution has affected the predatory cycle of marine ecosystem. He reported that lights in oceans make prey of seafloor communities more visible to predators such as yellowfin bream and leatherjackets. The artificial lights make sessile invertebrate prey communities more exposed to fish predators during night than day-light, which hampers the marine ecosystem. Thus option D is correct.
