Answer:

A. A only

Explanation:

U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) does not allow property, plant, and equipment to be written up or revalued. If the fair value of PP&E falls below the book value and the amount is material then a company must write down the asset to fair value.

Since under US GAAP, once PPE is written, it can not be reversed. as Company B is indicated to have reversed the write down while company A did not. It therefore means that Company A only is reporting under US GAAP.

"" In order to produce 100 oatmeal cookies, GoodieCookieCo incurs an average total cost of $0.25 per cookie. The company’s margi
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

Total cost to produce 50 oatmeal is $20

Explanation:

We have given average total cost to produce 100 oatmeal cookies = $0.25

So Total cost = 0.25×100 = 25

Total variable cost to produce 100 cookies = marginal cost×100 = 0.1×100 = 10

Total fixed cost to produce 100 cookies = total cost-total variable cost = 25-10 = $15

Total cost of producing 50 cookies

=total fixed cost + total variable cost

=total fixed cost +(marginal cost ×50)

=15+(0.1×20)

=15+5

=$20

Answer:

a. The cumulative temporary book-tax difference for the depreciable asset are as follows:

December 31, 2021 = $60 million

December 31, 2022 = $40 million

December 31, 2023 = $20 million

December 31, 2024 = $0

b. The balance to be reported in the deferred tax liability account are as follows.

December 31, 2021 = $15 million

December 31, 2022 = $10 million

December 31, 2023 = $5 million

December 31, 2024 = $0

Explanation:

Note: See the attached excel file for the calculation of cumulative temporary book-tax difference for the depreciable asset and the balance to be reported in the deferred tax liability account for December 31 of years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 in bold red color.

In the attached excel file, the following formula are used:

Cumulative Temporary differences at December 31 of the current year = Cumulative Temporary differences at December 31 of the previous year + (Depreciation on the tax return at December 31 of the current year - Depreciation on the income statement at December 31 of the current year)

Balance to be reported in deferred tax liability account at December 31 of the current year = Cumulative Temporary differences at December 31 of the current year * Tax rate

Gnom [1K]

The city bus system charges lower fares to senior citizens than to other passengers. Assuming that this pricing strategy increases the profits of the bus system, we can conclude that senior citizens must have a(n) More elastic Demand for bus service than other passengers.

Explanation:

Elasticity of demand defines relationship between the change in price and the purchases made by the consumer .

In case with the increase or decrease of the price the purchasing habit of the consumer remains the same then we say that the good has inelastic demand .

In case the consumer changes its purchasing habits with the change in price of the product or service then we say that the good /service has elastic demand.

In the question we can see that the bus service provider have changed the price of the tickets(reduce the price of the ticket) for senior citizens ,so we can say that the with the change in the price of the tickets the demand for the tickets by senior citizen must have increased .Hence it is a example of Elastic demand.
