Answer:

Here's what I get

Explanation:

(g) Titration curves

I can't draw two curves on the same graph, but I can draw two separate curves for you.

The graph in part (d) had an equivalence point at 20 mL.

In the second titration, the NaOH was twice as concentrated, so the volume to equivalence point would be half as much — 10 mL.

The two titration curves are below.

(h) Evidence of reaction

HCl and NaOH are both colourless.

They don't  evolve a gas or form a precipitate when they react.

The student probably noticed that the Erlenmeyer flask warmed up — a sign of a chemical change.

katrin [286]
Hello!

Bases are defined by Arrhenius as substances which release OH⁻ ions when dissolved in water. NO₂⁻ complies with this definition by the chemical reaction that is shown below:

 NO₂⁻(aq) + H₂O (l) HNO₂ (aq) + OH⁻(aq)

Answer:

The partial pressure of argon in the jar is 0.944 kilopascal.

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

Volume of the jar of air = 25.0 L

Number of moles argon = 0.0104 moles

Temperature = 273 K

Step 2: Calculate the pressure of argon with the ideal gas law

p*V = nRT

p = (nRT)/V

⇒ with n = the number of moles of argon = 0.0104 moles

⇒ with R = the gas constant = 0.0821 L*atm/mol*K

⇒ with T = the temperature = 273 K

⇒ with V = the volume of the jar = 25.0 L

p = (0.0104 * 0.0821 * 273)/25.0

p = 0.00932 atm

1 atm =101.3 kPa

0.00932 atm = 101.3 * 0.00932 = 0.944 kPa

The partial pressure of argon in the jar is 0.944 kilopascal.

Which pair of statements below is correct? Multiple Choice An octet is formed via ionic bonding when one or more valence electro
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

An octet is formed via ionic bonding when one or more valence electrons are transferred from one atom to another.

An octet is formed via covalent bonding when valence electrons are shared between atoms.

An octet is always formed via ionic bonding

Explanation:  The essence of bonding is stability. An octet or duplet state is formed when one or more valence electrons are shared. when the electrons are shared, the type of bond formed is a covalent bond. An octet is formed via ionic bonding when one or more valence electrons are transferred from one atom to another.
