Which of the following sorting algorithms is described by this text? "Take the item at index 1 and see if it is in order compare

d to the item at index 0. If it is not, then swap the two items. Next, take the item at index 2 and compare it to the items at the lower indexes. Move items in the lower indexes to a higher one until you find the proper location to place the value so that it is in the correct order. Continue this process with all remaining indexes."
a. insertion sort
b. selection sort
c. merge sort
d. quick sort
e. binary sort
An array of integers is to be sorted from smallest to biggest using a selection sort. Assume the array originally contains the following elements:
11 17 30 8 20 25
What will it look like after the third pass through the for loop?
a. 8 11 17 20 25 30
b. 8 11 17 30 20 25
c. 8 17 30 11 20 25

Answer:

b. selection sort

b. 8 11 17 30 20 25

Explanation:

The options above are the correct answers to the given questions.

Selection sort is a simple comparison-based sorting algorithm.

selection sort. (algorithm) Definition: A sort algorithm that repeatedly searches remaining items to find the least one and moves it to its final location. The run time is Θ(n²), where n is the number of elements. The number of swaps is O(n).

It is this sorting algorithm that will best ne suitable in the given event.

Enter a nested function in cell G8 that displays the word Flag if the Payment Type is Credit and the Amount is greater than or e
stira [4]

Answer:

IF(AND(Payment_Type = 'Credit', Amount >= 4000),'Flag')

Explanation:

Given

Search criterion 1: Payment Type: Credit

Search Criterion 2: Amount ≥

$4000

Given the above search criteria, the nested function is as follows;

IF(AND(Payment_Type = 'Credit', Amount >= 4000),'Flag')

The above statement will display the word 'Flag' without the quotes if and only if the two conditions in the brackets are satisfied

Condition 1: Payment_Type = 'Credit'

Here, Payment_Type is used because when naming a column, it's preferred to avoid space or blank characters.

So, if this condition is satisfied (i.e. if payment type is credit) it checks for condition 2

Condition 2: Amount>=4000

This mean the amount must be at least 4000.

Both conditions must be satisfied because of the AND clause in the statement.

const2013 [10]

Full question:

Suppose that, when you arrive at the sale site for $50 Apple laptops (described in the text) at 1:45 A.M., you find more than 2,000 people already waiting for the site to open. You turn around and go home to get some sleep. Later you buy an Apple laptop, the same model as the $50 one, for $1,070. This indicates that ________.

Answer:

your opportunity cost of waiting at the site (and pushing and shoving) is at least $1,020

Explanation:

If you had decided to stay and wait and go through the hassle of pushing and grabbing in the queue to get a laptop of $50, you would have saved $1020. This is an opportunity that you have not(forgone) used and so you pay for it in the form of increased price of the apple laptop at $1070.

In an ethernet network, the signal that is sent to indicate a signal collision is called a ________ signal.
lbvjy [14]
Hey there! Hello!

I'm certainly not an expert at anything related to ethernet, but I do believe that the answer you're looking for is a jam signal. To my limited understanding, <span>CSMA/CD makes computers "listen" before sending data to see if their signal is currently being used. If it's not, it'll send. The computer and sender will continue to "listen" to see if a jam still occurred afterwards. If one did occur, a jam signal will be sent to everyone who may send something over that signal, warning them not to send anything else, since it will not be successful and may make the jam worse.

Hope this helped you out! I would normally tell the question–askers that they can ask me any additional questions they may have, but... that's the extent that I know about ethernet, haha! :-)</span>
