We can use the Pythagorean theorem to solve for the perimeter of the kite.

a² + b² = c²

3² + 4² = UV²

9 + 16 = UV²

25 = UV²

√25 = √UV²

5 = UV

In the kite, adjacent sides are the same so UV = VW

3² + 9² = UX²

9 + 81 = UX²

90 = UX²

√90 = √UX²

9.49 ≈ UX or 3√10 ≈ UX

Now, add to find the perimeter.

5 + 5 + 9.49 + 9.49 or 5 + 5 + 3√10 + 3√10

28.98 or 10 + 6√10

Therefore, the perimeter is approximately 28.98 or 10 + 6√10

Best of Luck!

Researchers are investigating whether people who exercise with a training partner have a greater increase, on average, in target
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

1 - If method I is used, population of generalization will include all those people who may have varying exercising habits or routines.  They may or may not have a regular excersing habit.  In his case sample is taken from a more diverse population

2 - Population of generalization will include people who will have similar excersing routines and habits if method II is used since sample is choosen from a specific population

Step-by-step explanation:

Past excercising habits may affect the change in intensity to a targeted excersise in different manner. So in method I a greater diversity is included and result of excersing with or without a trainer will account for greater number of variables than method II.

e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

6.065; 7.358 ; 6.694

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that, profit is quoted using the function :

R = 2pe ^ -0.1p

(a)

When price 'p' = $5

R = 2(5)e^(-0.1*5)

R = 10e^(-0.5)

R = 10 * 0.6065306

R = 6.065

B)

When price 'p' = $10

R = 2(10)e^(-0.1*10)

R = 20e^(-1)

R = 20 * 0.3678794

R = 7.358

C.)

When price 'p' = $15

R = 2(15)e^(-0.1*15)

R = 30e^(-1.5)

R = 30 * 0.2231301

R = 6.694

A newly drilled water well produces 50,000 quarts of water per week. With no new water feeding the well, the production drops by
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

Total amount of water = 5,200,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

water produced = 50,000 quarts of water per week

Production drop = 5% = 0.05 per year

Number of week in year = 52 week

Find:

Total amount of water

Computation:

Sum = a / r

a = 50,000 x 52

a = 2,600,000

Sum = a / [1-r]

Sum = 2,600,000 / 5%

Sum = 2,600,000 / 0.05

Total amount of water = 5,200,000
