Answer:

The correct answers are 1) complex sentence; 2) compound-complex sentence; and 3)compound sentence.

Explanation:

The first sentence is a complex sentence, meaning that it contains an independent clause (a complete though) and at least one subordinate clause (cannot stand alone even if it has subject and its predicate); a compound-complex sentence has at least two independent clauses as well as one dependent; finally, a compound sentence has two independent clauses with similar ideas; connectors or comas or semi colons can be used to put them together.

Sahil : I have invited four of my friends for dinner today.
noname [10]

Answer:

Sahil told Radhika that he had invited four of his friends for dinner that day.

Then Radhika said she will also invite her friends, which Sahil thought would be a great idea.

When Radhika asked what they should have for dinner, Sahil replied they should decide the menu then.

Explanation:

The given conversation is in the direct speech, meaning it is a real conversation with the speakers and the speeches in their respective names. But if we are to change it into the indirect or reported speech form, we have to change some aspects of the speeches. One is to remove the speech or direct format and write it in the reported form, and also some words such as "today" will be changed to "that day" and "now" will be changed to "then", etc.

Therefore, the given conversation in the reported form will be-

Sahil told Radhika that he had invited four of his friends for dinner that day.

Then Radhika said she will also invite her friends, which Sahil thought would be a great idea.

When Radhika asked what they should have for dinner, Sahil replied they should decide the menu then.

Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

"Let's try thinking about it another way

Explanation:

You want everyone's opinion to be heard, so you want the people in the argument to open their minds. Saying this, if they listen to you, will open their minds to hear what the other people in the argument have to say.

Compare the characters of Hedda Gabler and Daisy Miller: A Study. Both are the inventions of realist writers, but which is more
Dennis_Churaev [7]

In my view Hedda Gabbler is the most morally ambiguous between the two. Allow me to compare the two characters in order to clarify my views. Hedda Gabbler is an older Norwegian housewife of upper-*Middle class who chose to marry because she was starting to grow older. Her motivations are not always clear and sometimes it seems as though she suffers some kind of mental illness. Also, the etymology of her name is quite revelatory, her name comes from " the Germanic name Hadewig, derived from the Germanic elements hadu "battle, combat" and wig "war" (https://www.behindthename.com/name/hedwig). Hedda is obviously in conflict with the patriarchal society of her time and she aims to not only be in command of her own destiny but also to control her husband. She kills herself in order to deny the power of a man over her. Even in her death she is defiant. Daisy Miller on the other hand is a very young adult and rich American who loves Europe and its ways. She is naive and innocent and her behavior is not as vindictive as the behavior of Hedda Gabbler. Daisy is in opposition to the conservative and patriarchal views of society more because of her exposition ot European cultures and less due to a conscious realization of her condition. Her name is the name of a flower and her death is also symbolic as she dies from malaria. Flowers die during winter and Daisy's winter is the disease that kills her. She is more a victim than a proto-feminist.

She does not seem impulsive: she seems to be working steadily towards the goal (defeating the Nazis) (so she is also not unsteady).

I think that the best word to describe her is "resilient" -for example because she went back to work after sustaining an injury.
