Answer:

The approximate present value = $24294

Explanation:

Given the annuity or expected amount for 10 years = 2000 dollars

The corporation expects the amount for next 10 years = $3500

Discount rate or interest rate = 8%

Present value = (2000 × PVIFA at 8%, 10 YEARS) + (3500 × PVIFA at 8%, 10 YEARS × PVIFat 8%, 10 YEARS)

Present rate = (2000 × 6.710) + (3500 × 6.710 X 0.463)

= $24293.6 or $24294 (round off)

What changes should be made to the above statement, located within a resume, to make it a more effective and powerful sounding q
never [62]

Explanation:

The question is incomplete as there is no above statement here. Here a general interpretation of the question shall be made. Normally human resource mangers have to go throughout thousands of resumes and it is not always possible for them to read line by line. This can negate chances of getting through for an employee. So they can make it a bit attractive by going some extra edge and using attractive lines that are some in style and structure. They should not bombard the resume with precious English words by just represent their academic and extra curricular sides in brief.

Cash Conversion Cycle Zane Corporation has an inventory conversion period of 64 days, an average collection period of 28 days, a
wariber [46]

Explanation:

The computation is shown below

The length of the cash conversion cycle is

= Inventory conversion period + average collection period - payable deferral period

= 64 days + 28 days - 41 days

= 51 days

Now the investment in account receivable is

= $2,578,235 ÷ 365 ÷ 28 days

= $197,782.411

And, the inventory turnover ratio is

Inventory turnover ratio = Sales ÷ inventory

where,

Sales = $2,578,235

And, the inventory is

75 = Inventory ÷ [(0.75 × $2,578,235) ÷ 365]

So, the inventory is $397,330.736

Now the inventory turnover ratio is

= $257,8235 ÷ $397,330.736

= 6.488 times

c. Mix width

Explanation:

Product mix width can be defined as the total number of product lines that a company has to sell.

As an example, we can mention a cosmetics company that manufactures four different types of products, such as jewelry, perfumes, clothes and makeup.

Companies use the strategy of having different product lines because they add benefits such as attracting more consumers and gaining a larger share of the market.

he kinds of money Personal possession of currency is prohibited in U.S. prisons, although, in practice, prisoners still exchange
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

A) One important difference between using cigarettes and using dollars as money is that cigarettes have intrinsic value.

B) U.S. dollars are an example of fiat money.

Explanation:

Prisioners had two uses for cigarettes: they could use them as a medium of exchange, thus acted as money, and they could use cigarettes to smoke. Therefore the intrinsic value of cigarettes would be the tobbacco which is used to smoke, as opposed to U.S. dollars where its intrinsic value is just the paper or metal if it were a coin.

U.S. dollars are an example of fiat money because it's a currency that has been established as legal tender by the U.S. Government, but it has no intrinsic value of its own.

1. Advertising is important for most companies, es- pecially companies such as P&G that sells mostly to end customers. But,
omeli [17]

Answer:

1. Companies like P&G have their customer base consisting on end customers whose choice of toothpaste and towels which can change depending on multiple influencers like cost, other attractive features in competitors, freebies etc. Thus a strong customer focus and reach is essential to even retain the current customer base. Thus these companies need to focus on advertising to remain competitive in the current market atmosphere.

2. The numbers of advertising companies can be appropriately engaged based on cost and effectiveness as long as there are sufficient companies customizing the advertising and marketing efforts for the region in focus. If there are too many agencies running the advertising, the cost could be very high. If the number of agencies are decreased to too low and same advertising efforts are used in different type of demographic regions, the impact and effectiveness of the advertising could be less and not as effective as required. Thus choosing the sufficient number of agencies to reach all the required demographic regions is essential to balance the cost and effectiveness of advertising.

3. Innovation will always be rewarded in the current market atmosphere. If we look at the current market position of P&G, seeing that the they are currently placed in a good position with good presence in multiple products for different customer segments. Thus after studying the market and weighing all the aspects, it could make sense for P&G to consolidate and cut the less profitable businesses.
