Egg membranes from three eggs were carefully taken out and labeled as a, b , c. Each of these membranes were filled with 1% solu

tion of sugar. Membrane A was immersed in 0.5% sugar solution, Membrane B was immersed in 1% sugar solution and Membrane c was immersed in 2% sugar solution. Predict the behavior of the three membranes?

Answer:

The correct answer would be -

Membrane A - Hypotonic solution - the movement of water towards inside the cell

Membrane B - Isotonic soltion - there will be no movement of water

Membrane C - Hyertonic solution - the movement of water towards outside of the cell

Explanation:

This experiment deals with tonicity as this solution will affect the tonicity of the egg membrane. In membrane A there are more solutes inside the cell than outside the cell so it is hypotonic solution so the movement of water will be towards inside the cell.

In membrane B the solutes are equal in both sides so there will be no movement as its isotonic condition while in membrane C the solution is in hypertonic situation as the solutes are more outside than inside.

Thus, the behavior of the membranes are-

Membrane A - Hypotonic solution - the movement of water towards inside the cell

Membrane B - Isotonic soltion - there will be no movement of water

Membrane C - Hyertonic solution - the movement of water towards outside of the cell

PNS axons are vulnerable to cuts, crushing injuries, and other types of trauma. However, a damaged ____________ can regenerate i
Olenka [21]

Answer:

The correct answer is - damaged, effector organ, neurilemma, damage, distance, cell body, decreased.

Explanation:

PNS axons are prone to cuts, and other types of injuries. A damaged axon can regenerate if the effector organ remains intact and a critical amount of neurilemma is found.

The degree of success of these axons regeneration depends upon factors that are (1) the amount of damage, and (2) the distance between the site of the damaged axon and the cell body it innervates The possibility of repair is reduced with an increase in either of these two factors. Neurolemmocytes play an active role in regeneration
