There are 10 hundreds in 1,000. just look at the number of zeros because there are two zeros in 100 two zeros in 200 until you get to 1000 then there are three zeros but don't let that trick you just look at the 10 and then add the two zeros. So there 10 hundreds in 1,000.

Lina has 12 coins in her purse. D of them are dimes and the rest are quarters.
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

she has 12 - D quarters.

She has 24 (12-D) cents in quarters

Step-by-step explanation:

You know that the number of coins, and you know the number of dimes - even if the amount is a variable - you can find the amount of quarters with an equation.

If you knew that Lina had 6 dimes instead of D, you would say 12 - 6 and get the number of quarters. You can do the same thing here.

and If you know Lina has 6 quarters, you could find the amount of money in cents by multiplying 6 by 25. You can do that here too, but with variables and an equation.

Find the quotient. (5x4 – 3x2 4) ÷ (x 1)
Vlada [557]

Keywords:

Divide, polynomial, quotient, divisor, dividend, rest

For this case, we must find the quotient by dividing the polynomial (5x ^ 4-3x ^ 2 + 4)\ by\ (x + 1). We must build a quotient that, when multiplied by the divisor, eliminates the terms of the dividend until it reaches the rest, as shown in the attached figure. At the end of the division, to verify we must bear in mind that:

Dividend = Quotient * Divider + Remainder

A 5 lb cat needs 12mg/kg thiopental. How much 2.5% thiopental will you need to draw up? A. 10.8 mL B. 1.08 mL C. 108 mL D. 18 mL
wlad13 [49]
B. 1.08mL

1 lb = 2.2 kg

5 lb = 2.27 kg

2.27kg   ×  12mg   = 27.24 mg

Divide 27.42 mg by 2.5    = 10.896mg

Now change the mg to mL

10.896   ÷ 10  = 1.0896

A water wheel has a radius of 4 feet and the bottom of the wheel is 1 foot from the ground. One plank is painted white and it st
Inessa [10]

Answer:

The height of the plank after the π/3 rotation motion is 8.464 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The radius of the wheel = 4 ft

The elevation of the bottom of the wheel from the bottom = 1 foot

The angle to which the wheel is rolled = π/3 radians

The height of a rotating wheel is given by the following relation

f(t) = A·sin(B·t + C) + D

Where;

D = Mid line =  4 + 1 = 5 feet

B·t = π/3

C = 0

A = The amplitude = 4

Which gives;

f(t) = 4×sin(π/3) + 5 = 8.464 ft

The height of the plank after the π/3 rotation motion = 8.464 ft.
