The Venn diagram below provides a visual representation of the students in Mr. Griffin’s class who participate in music programs

after school. What does the diagram tell you about the musical involvement of Student B and Student G? Explain how you reached your conclusion. Venn Diagram of students who play piano and students who play in the band. The Piano circle contains students A, B, F, and D. The Band circle contains students B, C, D, E, and G. : The You Move It Company (YMI) advertises that the cost to rent a moving truck for one day is $40 plus $1.99 for each mile the
mars1129 [50]

Part A: For 100 miles, the cost will be same for both companies.

Part B: Alex should use Drive and Move company as it will cost him less money.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Starting amount of YMI= $40

Per mile charges = $1.99

Let,

x be the number of miles.

y be the total charges.

y = 1.99x+40    Eqn 1

Starting amount of DM = $60

Per mile charges = $1.79

y=1.79x+60    Eqn 2

Part A:

For same charges;

Eqn 1 = Eqn 2

1.99x+40=1.79x+60\\1.99x-1.79x=60-40\\0.20x=20

Dividing both sides by 0.20

\frac{0.20x}{0.20}=\frac{20}{0.20}\\x=100

For 100 miles, the cost will be same for both companies.

Part B:

Total miles = x = 150

Putting x=150 in Eqn 1

y=1.99(150)+40

y=298.5+40

y=$338.50

Putting x=150 in Eqn 2

y=1.79(150)+60

y=268.5+60

y=$328.50

Alex should use Drive and Move company as it will cost him less money.

Explain how employee benefits affect total employment compensation
dlinn [17]
Employee benefits are generally considered added compensation in addition to wages or salary.  so if it were represented as a function it would be C=b+w. The total compensation C would be equal to benefits b plus wages or salary w.

A coordinate grid with a line labeled negative 3 x plus StartFraction one-half EndFraction y equals negative 3 and passes throug
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer: C

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the line -3x + y/2 = -3 passes through the points (1, 0) and (0, -6).

First rearrange the equation

-3x + y/2 = -3

Y = 2( 3x - 3 )

Y = 6x - 6 ..... (1)

Also, the slope of points (1, 0) and (0, -6). Will be

M = ( -6 - 0 )/( 0 - 1 )

M = -6/-1

M = 6

Using general linear equation

Y = MX + C

Let Y = 0 and X = 1

0 = 6(1) + C

C = -6

Substitutes C back into the equation

Y = 6x - 6 ...... (2)

The value of b that will cause the system to have infinitely many number of solutions is 6

Ken’s predicted temperature for April is 7ºC. His prediction for May is 2ºC higher than April. He used the number line to solve
tia_tia [17]

Answer: Ken Should have moved 9 units to the right because his prediction for May is 9°C. Moving to the left part of the number line would take Ken into negative degrees. 9°C is warmer than 7°C. Therefore, Ken should have moved 9 units to the right of the number line instead of 2 units to the left.
