Which of the following was not reaffirmed by the Council of Trent?
kow [346]

The correct option is: "that only the Catholic Church had the authority to interpret the Bible"

The Council of Trent was an ecumenical council of the Catholic Church developed in discontinuous periods during twenty-five sessions between the years 1545 and 1563.

Although it did not manage to reunite the Christianity, the Council of Trento supposed for the Catholic Church a deep catharsis.

It was convened in response to the Protestant Reformation to clarify various doctrinal points. It also abolished the local eucharistic rites, respecting only those that had more than two centuries of antiquity (Mozarabic rite, Lyons rite, Ambrosian rite) and established the rite of the city of Rome known as Tridentine Mass, as a rite of the entire Latin church . From a doctrinal point of view, it is one of the most important and influential councils in the history of the Catholic Church.

On the other hand, the reform of ecclesiastical administration and discipline was addressed. The council eliminated many flagrant abuses, such as the sale of indulgences or the education of clerics, and forced the bishops to reside in their bishoprics, thereby preventing the accumulation of charges.

) new forms of mass culture emerged in the united states in the 1920s and in the 1950s. briefly explain one important similarity
MissTica
The 1920s and 1950s are similar in the sense that a new culture emerged. One similarity between these time periods is that they represent the United States emerging from a World War. World War I (1914-1919) and World War II (1939-1945) were two enormous global events that affected American society and alter what culture develops afterwards.

One common culture that developed during the 20's and 50's was consumerism. Consumerism is an social and economic idea that focuses on developing products that will interest the consumer (aka buyer). During both eras, companies began to advertise items in a manner that convinced American citizens to buy them. This rise of consumerism resulted in the increased purchase of items that people wanted, but didn't necessarily need.

Even though most Americans would fall into this category, there were some critics to this consumer culture. During the 1950's the Beatnik generation developed as an anti-conformist culture. Some of them saw capitalism and the increased consumerism in American society as negative.
