Answer:

Jean-Paul Marat, a political juggernaut of the French Revolution, made this suggestion in order to induce people to participate actively in the Revolution.

By making such a call for the massive participation of the common man, Marat did not want to isolate the people from the Revolution.

Explanation:

During the late part of the 18th century, Marat utilized his widely read publications to instigate the French people to carry out the ensuing violent revolution.  He was much beloved by the common man but equally widely slandered and disapproved of by some elites.

What problems do Mchanagma and Verdirame see with the current state of human rights in the international system in their article
sineoko [7]

Answer and Explanation:

Jacob Mchangama and Guglielmo Verdirame, in their article “The Danger of Human Rights Proliferation,” defend liberty by the motto of “less are more.”

We are asserting more and more rights without checking out the implementation of previous rights. Asserting more rights and convincing the states to add them in treaties would not lead to more excellent protection of human rights.

The proliferation of rights is more harmful to humans because human rights are not protected fully as we are expanding the number of rights in treaties.

They argued that: “If human rights were a currency, its value would be free fall……..this currency is  buy cover for dictatorships ”

Rights of human language have been used to restrict rights. Freedom of religion and expression was a foundation of human rights, but states also restricted those rights in the name of human rights.

To sum up, the proliferation of human rights does not ensure that the rights of humans are being secured. States are not always concerned directly with the welfare of humans but to restrict those rights more. So the proliferation of rights is not fruitful but a dangerous thing.

What is a “cold warrior?” How were both John F Kennedy and Richard Nixon cold warriors?
Anna35 [415]
A Cold Warrior is a person who was actively involved in the conflicts between the Soviet Union and the United States during the Cold War era.

Kennedy would be considered a cold warrior due to his interactions with the Soviet Union. One of the most famous examples is the Cuban Missile Crisis. This conflict that took place in October 1962 was based around the Soviet Union placing missives in Cuba. This was the closest the world ever came to nuclear war. However the US and Soviet Union came to a deal.

Nixon would be considered a cold warrior as well because of his role in combating domestic communism during the 1950’s. He heavily influenced the House Un American Activities Committee that questioned American citizens and their ties to the Soviet Union/communism.
