Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that:

The first company

Company A:

Produces 40 defective out of every 5000

The second company

Company B produces:

30 defective out of every 6000

We are to ge the highest number of defective phones that both of these companies can produce in common:

So we get the Factors of the number of defectives produced by both :

Factors of 40 : 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 20, 40

Factors of 30 : 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, 30

From the above we can see that the highest number of defective phones that both companies can produce in common is 10.

Elsa tries to solve the following equation, and determines there is no solution. Is she correct? Explain.
Vlad [161]
Elsa's answer is incorrect since there is a solution of the given equation. In the given logarithmic problem, we need to simplify the problem by transposing log2(3x+5) in the opposite side. The equation will now be log2x-log2(3x+5)=4. Using properties of logarithm, we further simplify the problem into a new form log (2x/6x+10)=4.  Then transform the equation into base form 10^4=(2x/6x+10) and proceed in solving for x value which is equal to 1.667.

The cubit is an ancient unit. Its length equals six palms. (A palm varies from 2.5 to 3.5 inches depending on the individual.) W
olasank [31]

Assuminhg the ark has a shoe-box (cuboid) shape it´s volume would be:

V_{cuboid}=lenght*width*height

We have this three measurements (l=300cubits;w=50cubits;h=30cubits)) and it can be as simple as replacing them in the equation and solving but they are in all in cubits. We will convert them to ft because the problem requires the answer in ft^{3}. In order to do this we will use the given equivalences:

1cubit=6palms\\1palm=3.10in

and another one:

1ft=12in

First we will convert from cubits to palms:

l=300cubits*\frac{6palms}{1cubit}=1800palms\\w=50cubits*\frac{6palms}{1cubit}=300palms\\h=30cubits*\frac{6palms}{1cubit}=180palms\\

now from palms to in:

l=1800palms*\frac{3.10in}{1palm}=5580in\\w=300palms*\frac{3.10in}{1palm}=930in\\h=180palms*\frac{3.10in}{1palm}=558in\\

now from in to ft:

l=5580in*\frac{1ft}{12in}=465ft\\w=930in*\frac{1ft}{12in}=77.5ft\\h=558in*\frac{1ft}{12in}=46.5ft

We can calculate the Volume now like this:

V_{ark}=465ft*77.5ft*46.5ft=1675743.75ft^{3}

The volume of trhe ark would be 1675743.75ft^{3}

An individual head of a sprinkler system covers a circular area of grass with a radius of 25 feet. the yard has 3 sprinkler head
frutty [35]

Answer:

Option D. 5890.5 feet²

Step-by-step explanation:

An individual head of a sprinkler system covers a circular are of grass with a radius of 25 feet.

Yard has three sprinkler heads that each cover circular area with no overlap.

We have to calculate the approximate area watered by these 3 sprinkler heads.

Area covered by one sprinkler = π×r² = π×(25)² = 625π feet²

Therefore area covered by three sprinkler heads = 3 × 625π = 5892.85 feet²

which matches the approximate value of Option D. 5890.5 feet²

In a triangle the length of two sides are 1.9m and 0.7m. What is the length of the third side, if you know that it should be a w
monitta

Answer:

their sum: 2.8m

their difference: 1.2m

the third side's length should be smaller than their sum, larger than their difference

it could be: 1.3-1.4-1.5-1.6-1.7-1.8-1.9-2-2.1-2.2-2.3-2.4-2.5-2.6-2.7 but since it has to be a whole number, 2m is the only eligible answer.

Two rigid transformations are used to map ABC to QRS. The first is a translation of vertex B to vertex R. What is the second tra
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

second transformation is a reflection across the line containing AB

Step-by-step explanation:

The options are : a reflection across the line containing AB , a rotation about point B, a reflection across the line containing CB, a rotation about point C

The diagram is attached below

The triangle ABC is transformed to get triangle QRS

First transformation is the translation of vertex B  to vertex R.

To get the same triangle QRS, the triangle to be reflected across the line AB

So second transformation is a reflection across the line containing AB
