Answer:

Each adult patient today taking dose of 13 mg.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - Ysaac, a doctor on duty at a local clinic, leaves the Panadol dose (mg) to nurse Elisa for all hospital patients. The nurse asks him what is the Dose ?, and the doctor answers that the previous dose used in total for 10 adult patients was solving the equation x2 + 50x - 2400 = 0. If the current dose has decreased by 10 milligrams for each patient.

To find - How much should the dose be for each adult patient today?

Solution -

Given that, the equation is -

x² + 50x - 2400 = 0

⇒x² + 80x - 30x - 2400 = 0

⇒x(x + 80) - 30(x + 80) = 0

⇒(x - 30)(x + 80) = 0

⇒x = 30, -80

But dose can not be negative

So, x = 30

∴ we get

The previous dose is 30 that is given to 10 patients

So,

1 patient is taking 3 mg previous dose

Now,

Given that,

If the current dose has decreased by 10 milligrams for each patient.

So,

The current dose = 3 mg + 10 mg

                             = 13 mg

⇒The current dose = 13 mg

∴ we get

Each adult patient today taking dose of 13 mg.

Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

The sales is Rs. 12150.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : You own a pet supply store, and the total sales in your trading area equal 27,000. Your market share is 45%.

To find : What were your sales ?

Solution :

Total sales = 27,000

Market share = 45%

Sales is given by,

Sales is 45% of total sale.

So, S=27000\times \frac{45}{100}

S=12150

Therefore, the sales is Rs. 12150.

nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

The marginal-cost function is;

c'(x)= (20x-1)/(2√(400 + 10x² - x))

Completed question;

The cost of producing x bags of dog food is given by C(x) = 800 + √(400 + 10x² - x) where 0≤x≤55000. Find the marginal-cost function.

The marginal-cost function is c'(x)=

(Use integers or fractions for any numbers in the expression.)

Step-by-step explanation:

The marginal-cost function is c'(x)= = dC(x)/dx

Where;

C(x) = 800 + √(400 + 10x² - x)

c'(x) = d(800 + √(400 + 10x² - x) )/dx

Using function of function rule of differentiation or chain rule;

c'(x) = (20x-1)×(1/2√(400 + 10x² - x))

c'(x) = (20x-1)/(2√(400 + 10x² - x))

The marginal-cost function is;

c'(x)= (20x-1)/(2√(400 + 10x² - x))
