Had to look for the missing details and here is my answer.
Based on the given statement, the personal statement can be best described as the reason why rocks are interesting. This is the only statement that is personal because it only describes the subjective thought of the writer. Hope this helps.

I think it's C. The importance of learning geology. for example; if I were to talk about the importance of architecture it would only be important to me and it's design is interesting to me. Architecture would be the main topic of my personal summary, not how interesting the little things are about the topic. Hope this helps :)

Which statement best explains why Shakespeare has Cassius use the word fawn rather than a synonym such as flatter to describe hi
GaryK [48]

The statement that best explains why Shakespeare has Cassius use the word fawn rather than a synonym such as flatter to describe his actions is the A: Fawn is more negative, suggesting manipulation of another for personal gain. In the excerpt that this question is referring to, the shrewd Cassius is going to reveal some aspects of Brutus's personality, or of his behavior, that he cannot see, and he asks him to trust in him, unless he saw him flattering somebody and then slandering him on their back; in that case, Cassius concludes, Brutus could be suspicious of him. Shakespeare is using the word fawn in Cassius's speech in order to emphasize his manipulative and devious traits. The word does have a negative connotation, and it often implies disapproval of that person's actions.

Answer:

Enjambed line.

Explanation:

In poetry, an enjambment is a literary device in which there is a disproportion between the syntax and the metric of a verse.

It can easily be recognized as the idea is not fully expressed by the end of a verse. An enjambment breaks the thought in two and it must be continued through the following line.

This literary device was frowned upon by the classics but was kindly welcomed by the romantics due to its strong expressiveness.

Murrr4er [49]
 • Zadie Smith had always wanted to dig deeper in her father's war experience, but she never had enough courage to ask him, and neither did he.

And when they were visiting the beach there, she realized that it might be the place where, 59 years before, her father landed upon. So, she mentions this to her friend, who was also interested in war history of the area, and as a consequence, Zadie is interrogated by this friend. But in the end, Zadie relaizes she knows nothing about his father's war experence.
 • After this event, she returns home and feels determined to start interviewing his father.
