Percentage of discount that Camille can use by the discount coupon = 20%
Original price of the sweater = $47.99
Amount of sales tax that needs to be paid = 20%
Now firstly we have to get the discounted price and on that the sales tax has to be added to get the final amount paid by Camille.
Amount of discount received by Camille = (20/100) * 47.99
                                                                 =  47.99/5
                                                                 = 9.59
Then the amount of discount received by Camille is $9.59
Then the price of the sweater after discount = (47.99 - 9.59) dollars
                                                                       = 38.4 dollars
Now the sales tax has to be added on the discounted price of $38.4
Amount of sales tax paid = (6/100) * 38.4
                                         = 2.30 dollars
Then
The total amount paid by Camille = (38.4 + 2.30) dollars
                                                      = 40.70 dollars
So the total amount paid by Camille for the sweater is $40.70

matrenka [14]

Answer:

Required equation : 2w+4=35

Weight of each of his checked bags = 15.5 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of checked bags = 2

Backpack weight = 4 kg

The total weight of Carl's baggage = 35kg

Let w is the weight of each checked bag.

Weight of 2 checked bags = 2w

Weight of 2 checked bags + Backpack weight =  Total weight of Carl's baggage

2w+4=35

Subtract 4 from both sides.

2w=31

Divide 2 from both sides.

w=\dfrac{31}{2}=15.5

Therefore, the weight of each of his checked bags is 15.5 kg.

A small manufacturer constructs refrigerators. The fixed monthly cost is $200,000, and it costs $450 to produce one refrigerator
kaheart [24]

Answer: Horizontal asymptote of c(x) is 450.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Cost to produce one refrigerator = $450

Fixed monthly cost = $200,000

So, Average cost function to produce x refrigerators is given by

c(x)=\dfrac{200000+450x}{x}

Horizontal asymptote of c(x) would be

\dfrac{450x}{x}\\\\=450

Hence, Horizontal asymptote of c(x) is 450.

Inessa [10]

Answer:

49 square meters represent area of the square garden

Step-by-step explanation:

Each side length=7 meters

He multiplied 7 × 7 times to find the amount of space

=49 square meters

Jack is trying to measure the area of his square garden

Area of the square garden = length^2

=Length × length

Recall,

Length=7 meters

Area of the square garden= 7 meters × 7 meters

=49 square meters
