This question just requires that you solve for the variable C2

C1*V1 = C2*V2

Divide both terms by V2 => C1 * V1 / V2 = C2 * V2 / V2

=> C1 * V1 / V2 = C2.

Answer: C2 = C1 * V1 / V2

Nuclear power plants produce energy using fission. One common fuel, uranium-235, produces energy through the fission reaction 23
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

mass of U-235  = 15.9 g (3 sig. figures)

Explanation:

1 atom can produce -------------------------> 3.20 x 10^-11 J energy

x atoms can produce ----------------------> 1.30 x 10^12 J energy

x = 1.30 x 10^12 / 3.20 x 10^-11

x = 4.06 x 10^22 atoms

1 mol ----------------------> 6.023 x 10^23 atoms

y mol ----------------------> 4.06 x 10^22 atoms

y = 0.0675 moles

mass of U-235 = 0.0675 x 235 = 15.8625

mass of U-235  = 15.9 g (3 sig. figures)

What is the final pressure (expressed in atm) of a 3.05 l system initially at 724 mm hg and 298 k, that is compressed to a final
krok68 [10]

<u>Answer:</u>

P2 = 778.05 mm Hg = 1.02 atm

<u>Explanation:</u>

We are to find the final pressure (expressed in atm)  of a 3.05 liter system initially at 724 mm hg and 298 K which is compressed to a final volume of 2.60 liter at 273 K.

For this, we would use the equation:

\frac{P_1V_1}{T_1} =\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}

where P1 = 724 mm hg

V1 = 3.05 L

T1 = 298 K

P2 = ?

V2 = 2.6 L

T2 = 173 K

Substituting the given values in the equation to get:

\frac{(724)(3.05)}{298} =\frac{P_2(2.6)}{173}

P2 = 778.05 mm Hg = 1.02 atm

An atom in the ground state contains a total of 5 electrons 5 protons and 5 neutrons. Which Lewis electron-dot diagram represent
Luba_88 [7]
I don't know if you didn't gave a picture choice or if i didn't get the picture.
But lets call this atom A. Electron dot formula doesn't require Neutron and Protons, its main concern is valance elections.

So atom A has 5 electrons which means 2,3 it has 3 valance electrons. Its dot formula will become
:A.

I hope this helped.

Suppose you are studying the K sp of K C l O 3 , which has a molar mass of 122.5 g/mol, at multiple temperatures. You dissolve 4
Ghella [55]

Answer:

The K sp Value is  K_{sp}=7.40

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The of KClO_3 is = 122.5 g/ mol

    The mass of KClO_3 dissolved is m_s = 4.0g

    The volume of solution is  V_s = 12mL = 12*10^{-3}L

The number of moles of KClO_3 is mathematically evaluated as

           No \ of  \ moles  \ = \frac{mass }{Molar \ mass}

Substituting values

                                  = \frac{4}{122.5}

                                  =0.0327\ moles

Generally concentration is mathematically represented as

         concentration = \frac{No \ of \ moles}{volume }

For KClO_3

               Z= \frac{0.0327}{12*10^{-3}}

                              =2.72 \ mol/L

The dissociation reaction of KClO_3  is

         KClO_3 \ ----> K^{+}_{(aq)} + ClO_3^-_{(aq)}

The solubility product constant is mathematically represented as

                   K_{sp} = \frac{concentration of ionic product }{concentration of ionic reactant }

Since there is no ionic reactant we have

                  K_{sp} = [k^+] [ClO_3^-]

                          = Z^2

                          = 2.72^2

                          K_{sp}=7.40

How many grams of CaF2 are present in 1.25 L of a 0.15 M solution of CaF2? How do I find the grams I am confused on that part?
dybincka [34]

Answer:

Mass = 14.64 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Volume of solution = 1.25 L

Molarity of Solution = 0.15 M

Mass of CaF₂ = ?

Solution:

Molarity is used to describe the concentration of solution. It tells how many moles are dissolve in per litter of solution.

Formula:

Molarity = number of moles of solute / L of solution

We will calculate the number of moles of CaF₂ and then determine the mass by using number of moles.

0.15 M =  number of moles of solute / 1.25 L

number of moles of solute = 0.15 M ×  1.25 L

number of moles of solute = 0.1875 mol/L × L

number of moles of solute = 0.1875 mol

Mass in gram:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.1875 mol ×78.07 g/mol

Mass = 14.64 g
