The rhombus has four equal sides

10s - 16 = 9s + 29
10s - 9s = 29 + 16
s = 45

BC = CD = 10s-16 = 10*45 - 16 = 434

Step 1

<u>Find the value of s</u>

we know that

In a Rhombus all sides are congruent

so

AB=BC=CD=DA

AB=9s+29\\CD=10s-16

equate AB and CD

9s+29=10s-16\\

Combine like term

10s-9s=29+16\\

s=45\ units

<u>The answer Part a) is</u>

the value of s is 45\ units

Step 2

<u>Find the value of side AB</u>

AB=9s+29

substitute the value of s

AB=9*45+29=434\ units

Remember that the sides are congruent

AB=BC=CD=DA

therefore

<u>the answer Part b) is</u>

The length of the side BC is 434\ units

A football field is 120 yards long by 53 yards wide if a player runs diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner. How far
qaws [65]

Answer: They will travel about 131.18 yards.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A football field is 120 yards long by 53 yards wide.

We know that a football field is rectangular in shape.

Each interior angle in a rectangle is a right angle.

Then, by Pythagoras theorem, we have

(Diagonal)² = (Length)² + (Width)²

If a player runs diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner, then the length of the diagonal is given by :-

(\text{Diagonal})=\sqrt{(120)^2+(53)^2}\\\\\Rightarrow\ (\text{Diagonal})=\sqrt{14400+2809}\\\\\Rightarrow\ (\text{Diagonal})=\sqrt{17209}\\\\\Rightarrow\ (\text{Diagonal})=131.183078177\approx131.18\text{ yards}

Hence, they will travel about 131.18 yards.

C:t=2:3
t:h=2:1

multiply first equation by 2 and 2nd by 3
c:t=4:6
t:h=6:3
so

if t is 4 more than c
t is 6 units and c is 4
6-4=2
so 4=2 units
2=1 unit

hollly is 3 units

Rom4ik [11]

Question:

You are in a bike race. When you get to the first checkpoint, you are 2/5 of the distance to the second checkpoint. When you get to the second check point, you are 1/4 of the distance to the finish. If the entire race is 40 miles, what is the distance between the start and the first check point?

Answer: 4 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let distance between start to first checkpoint = x

First checkpoint to second checkpoint = 2/5 of x

Distance of start to checkpoint 1 = ( 2/5 of start to checkpoint 2)

Distance of start to checkpoint 2 = (1/4 of start to finish)

If start to checkpoint 2 = 1/4 of start to finish

Then,

Distance of start to checkpoint 1 = ( 2/5 * 1/4 of start to finish)

Distance of start to checkpoint 1 = 2/20 of start to finish = 1/10 of start to finish

Entire race = 40 miles = distance from start to finish

1/ 10 of 40

= ( 1/10) × 40

= 4 miles

Answer:

mean = 78.4

median = 77.5

mode = 75

This is Right - skewed (positive skewness) distribution

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Mean:-</u>

The mean (average) is found by adding all of the numbers together and dividing by the number of items and it is denoted by x⁻

                                                                                                                           mean =  \frac{64+80+75+98+75}{5}

mean (x⁻ ) = 78.4

The mean of the given data = 78.4

<u>Median:</u>

The median is found by ordering the set from lowest to highest and finding the exact middle.

64 ,75, 80, 98

The middle term of the given data set = \frac{75+80}{2} =77.5

<u>Mode :</u>

The mode is the most common repeated number in a data set.

64 ,75, 75, 80, 98

in data the most common number = 75

<u>Conclusion</u>:-

mean = 78.4

median = 77.5

mode = 75

This is Right - skewed (positive skewness) distribution
