Alrighty

P=2000
A=2543
t=4

A=Pe^{rt}
2543=2000e^{4r}
solve

2543=2000e^{4r}

divide both sides by 2000

\frac{2543}{2000}=e^{4r}

take ln of both sides

ln(\frac{2543}{2000})=ln(e^{4r})

ln(\frac{2543}{2000})=(4r)ln(e)

ln(\frac{2543}{2000})=(4r)(1)

ln(\frac{2543}{2000})=4r

divide both sides by 4

\frac{ln(\frac{2543}{2000})}{4}=r

use your calculator

0.060049=r
convert to percent
that is about 6%

the interest rate is 6%

Harper has $15.00 to spend at her grocery store. She is going to buy bags of fruit that cost $4.75 each and one box of crackers
Andrej [43]
First write the inequality:    15\leq4.75x +3.50

Then to solve, first subtract 3.50 from both sides to get:

11.50\leq4.75x

Then divide by 4.75 to get 2.42, and since you can't buy .42 of a bag  of fruit, you round down. So your final answer would be 2 bags of fruit.

Using the standard 28/36 guidelines, what is the maximum mortgage payment allowed for someone with an annual salary of $60,750?
Anna11 [10]

\frac{28}{36} rule says that 28 % of your total income should be spent on Housing finances and 36 % of your gross total income should be spend for Debts.

Annual Salary = $ 60,750

Maximum mortgage payment=28% of $ 60,750

=\frac{28}{100} \times 60750=\frac{1701,00}{100}\\\\ =1701

Maximum ,mortgage payment allowed for someone with an annual salary of $60,750= $ 1,701.00→→→Option (C)
