Answer: The required inequality is,

4.75 b +3.50 ≤ 15.00

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, b represents the number of bags of fruit bought by her,

Since, the cost of each bag of fruits = $ 4.75,

⇒ The cost of b bags of fruit = 4.75b dollars,

Also, she buy one box of crackers that costs $3.50,

Thus, her total expenditure = 4.75 b + 3.50

According to the question,

Her total expenditure can not exceed to $ 15.00,

⇒  4.75 b + 3.50 ≤ 15.00

Which is the required inequality that is used to determine the maximum number of bags of fruit bought by her.

First write the inequality:    15\leq4.75x +3.50

Then to solve, first subtract 3.50 from both sides to get:

11.50\leq4.75x

Then divide by 4.75 to get 2.42, and since you can't buy .42 of a bag  of fruit, you round down. So your final answer would be 2 bags of fruit.

What is the selling price of an item if the original cost is $784.50 and the markup on the item is 6.5 percent?
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

835.49

Step-by-step explanation:

selling price = original cost + markup value

We need to find the markup

markup = original cost * markup percent

             = $784.50 * 6.5%

           = $784.50 *.06.5

           =50.9925

Rounding to the nearest cent

            =50.99

selling price = original cost + markup value

                     =784.50+50.99

                      835.49

What is m? 49° 77° 98° 161°
Mariana [72]

we know that

The measurement of <u>the external angle</u> is the semi-difference of the arcs it includes.

In this problem

21\°=\frac{1}{2}[arc\ RU-arc\ SU]

Solve for the measure of arc SU

42\°=[arc\ RU-arc\ SU]

arc\ SU=arc\ RU-42\°

arc\ SU=119\°-42\°=77\°

therefore

the answer is

The measure of the arc SU is 77\°

What is the equation of the graph below? On a coordinate plane, a curve goes through (0, 0). It has a maximum of 1 and a minimum
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

y=cos(x+π)

Step-by-step explanation:

Known that the cosine function has a period of 2π.

Now, the parental function is y = cosx, which has y-intercept at y = 1, and x-intercept at π/2.

Notice that the function showed in the graph attached has y-intercept at y = -1 and x-intercept at π/2. This indicates that the function has been moved leftwards π units.

Therefore, the function that belongs to this graph is

y=cos(x + \pi)

Find the sum of the first 63 terms of –19, -13, -7 …
boyakko [2]

The Given Sequence is an Arithmetic Sequence with First term = -19

⇒ a = -19

Second term is -13

We know that Common difference is Difference of second term and first term.

⇒ Common Difference (d) = -13 + 19 = 6

We know that Sum of n terms is given by : S_n = \frac{n}{2}(2a + (n - 1)d)

Given n = 63 and we found a = -19 and d = 6

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(2(-19) + (63 - 1)6)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(-38 + (62)6)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(-38 + 372)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(-38 + 372)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(334)

\implies S_6_3 = {63}(167) = 10521

The Sum of First 63 terms is 10521
