There are three types of hybrid reproductive barriers. The one described is called hybrid breakdown. In hybrid breakdown as the hybrid organisms continue to reproduce each sequential generation becomes less viable, healthy and loses it's ability to reproduce. The other two hybrid reproductive barriers are hybrid sterility and hybrid inviability. Hybrid sterility results in healthy organisms that can not reproduce at all since thy are sterile. Hybrid inviability results in organisms that are not strong enough to survive and often die while juveniles.

Explain the relationship among
Iteru [2.4K]

Answer:

There is an important relationship among homeostasis, defective mitochondria, and the symptoms caused by LHON.

Explanation:

There is a great relationship among homeostasis, defective mitochondria and the symptoms caused by LHON because defective mitochondria disturbs the homeostasis in the body. If mitochondria works properly, homeostasis will be maintained whereas if there is any defect occurs in the mitochondria then the whole homeostasis will be adversely affected because mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell responsible for the production of energy for the cell. Symptoms occurs due to Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) also effected the state of equilibrium in the body.

MariettaO [177]

Answer:

This is an example of replication.

Explanation:

Getting a similar outcome when a trial is rehashed is called replication. Replication is significant in science so researchers can check their work. The consequence of an examination isn't probably going to be very much acknowledged except if the examination is rehashed ordinarily and a similar outcome is constantly acquired.

Hence, This is an example of replication.

Balance improves

Balance is the ability to maintain a controlled body position during performance of task. Age appropriate balance and coordination allows the child to be involved in the sports participation with a reasonable degree of success as it helps the body fluid movement for physical skill performance. With good balance and posture injury and fall can be prevented. This can also help maintain appropriate controlled body movement.

Match each definition to the appropriate term. locus
liraira [26]
I) Locus- the chromosomal site where a specific gene is located. A locus is a fixed position on a chromosome, like the position of a gene or a marker. Each chromosome carries ,many genes; human's estimated haploid (n) protein coding genes are about 20,000, on the 23 different chromosomes.

ii) Interference; the observed double crossover frequency differs from the expected double crossover frequency. Cross over interference is used to refer to the non-random placement of crossovers with respect to each other during meiosis. It results in widely spaced crossovers along chromosomes. Interference may exert its effect across whole chromosomes. As chromosomes in many eukaryotes are large, interference must be able to act over megabase lengths of DNA.

iii) Linkage- the tendency for genes located in close proximity on the same chromosome to be inherited together. Normally when two genes are close together on the same chromosome, they do not assort independently and are said to be linked. Whereas genes located on different chromosomes assort independently and have a recombination frequency of 50%, linked genes have a recombination frequency that is less than 50%.

iv) Recombination- the process by which a new pattern of alleles on a chromosome is generated. Genetic recombination is the production of offspring with combinations f traits that differ from those found in either parent. During meiosis in eukaryotes, genetic recombination involves the pairing of homologous chromosomes. This may be followed by information transfer between the chromosomes.
