Hey Anthony!

15........>90 minutes
10.........x minutes

Cross multiply
15x = 90*10
15x = 900
x = 900/15
x = 60

So, David will take 60 minutes to learn 10 definitions.

Best of luck!

Divide 90 by 15 to find out how many minutes it takes him to learn one definition.

90/15

=6

It takes David 6 minutes to learn one definition.

Next multiply 6 by 10 to find out how long it'll take him to learn 10 definitions

6x10

=60

It'll take David 60 minutes to learn 10 definitions.

I hope this helps!

The graph below shows the height of a kicked soccer ball f(x), in feet, depending on the distance from the kicker x, in feet: Gr
siniylev [52]
Because the vertex of the parabola is at (16,0), its equation is of the formy = a(x-10)² + 15
The graph goes through (0,0), thereforea(0 - 10)² + 15 = 0100a = -15a = -0.15
The equation is y = f(x) = -0.15(x - 10)² + 15
The graph is shown below.
Part A
Note that y = f(x).
The x-intercepts identify values where the function or  y=0. The x-intercepts occur at x=0 and x=20, or at (0,0) and (20,0).
The maximum value of y occurs at the vertex (10, 15) because the curve is down due to the negative leading coefficient of -0.15.
The curve increases in the interval x = (-∞, 10) and it decreases in the interval x = (10, ∞).
Part B
When x=12, y = -0.15(12 - 10)² + 15 = 14.4When x=15, y = -0.15(15 - 10)² + 15 = 11.25
The average rate of change between x =12 to x = 15 is(11.25 - 14.4)/(15 - 12) = -1.05
This rate of change represents the slope of the secant line from A to B. It approximates the rate at which f(x) decreases in the interval x =[12, 15].

Researchers studying catfish estimated the number of fingerling catfish and large catfish living in different rivers throughout
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

The correct answer to the question is

C) The mean and range of the fingerling catfish are both greater than those of the large catfish.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the attached chart and table, it is seen that the mean = (∑ f×m)/n

Where Mean x = Mean estimate of frequency distribution

f = Class frequency

m = midpoint of each class

∑ f×m = the sum of the product of each midpoint value and its respective frequency

n = The sum of the frequencies

Therefore from the tables we have

For the Fingerling catfish

(∑ f×m)/n = 11037.5/1.375 = 8027.3

and the range = (Maximum value) - (minimum value) in the data set

= 10500 - 3500 = 7000

For the Large catfish we have

(∑ f×m)/n = 2931.25/2.1 = 1395.83

and the range = (Maximum value) - (minimum value) in the data set

= 2125 - 375 = 1750

As seen above, the mean and range of the fingerling catfish are both greater than those of the large catfish

The rectangle below has an area of 8x^5+12x^3+20x^28x 5 +12x 3 +20x 2 8, x, start superscript, 5, end superscript, plus, 12, x,
juin [17]

Answer:

The width is: w(x)=4x^2

The length is l(x)=2x^2+3x+5

Step-by-step explanation:

The given rectangle has area given algebraically by the function:

a(x)=8x^5+12x^3+20x^2

The width of the rectangle is the greatest common factor of 8x^5,  12x^3 and 20x^2

That is the width is: w(x)=4x^2

We now divide the area by the width to obtain the length of the rectangle:

l(x)=\frac{8x^5+12x^3+20x^2}{4x^2}

This simplifies to:

l(x)=\frac{8x^5}{4x^2}+\frac{12x^3}{4x^2}+\frac{20x^2}{4x^2}

l(x)=2x^2+3x+5
