What are the coordinates of the circumcenter of this triangle? Enter your answer in the boxes.
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

(2,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We can see  that the given triangle.

The coordinates of A are (-1,5) .

The coordinates of B are (-1,-3).

The coordinates of C are  (5,-3).

Distance formula: \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

AB=\sqrt{(-3-5)^2+(-1+1)^2}=8 units

BC=\sqrt{(5+1)^2+(-3+3)^2}=6 units

AC=\sqrt{(5+1)^2+(-3-5)^2}=10 units

Pythagoras theorem:(Hypotenuse)^2=(Base)^2+(Perpendicular\;side)^2}

AB^2+BC^2=8^2+6^2=100

AC^2=(10)^2=100

Therefore, AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

When a triangle satisfied the Pythagoras theorem then, the triangle is right triangle.

Hence, the given triangle is  a right triangle.

We know that circum-center of right triangle is the mid point of hypotenuse.

Mid-point formula:x=\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},y=\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}

Using this formula then, we get

Mid-point of hypotenuse AC is given by

x=\frac{-1+5}{2}=2,y=\frac{5-3}{2}=1

Hence, the circum-center of triangle is (2,1).

Given  f(x)=x^2+12x+26 .
lapo4ka [179]

f(x)=x^2+12x+26

Vertex form of f(x) = a(x-h)^2 +k

We change f(x) into vertex form using completing the square method

f(x)=x^2+12x+26

We take half of square of middle term

middle term is 12

Half of square of 12 is \frac{12}{2}=6 then 6^2 = 36

Add and subtract 36 to complete the square

f(x)=(x^2+12x+36)+26-36

f(x)= (x+6)^2 +26 - 36 f(x)= (x+6)^2 -10

The vertex form f(x)= (x+6)^2 -10

A gas stove that normally sells for $749 is on sale at a 30% discount. What is the sale price of the gas stove
Virty [35]
The answer is 224.7 you got to turn 30% into decimal which is 0.30
then multiply 0.30 and 749 which equals 224.7

What is the value of the product (4 – 2i)(6 + 2i)? 20 – 4i 20 + 16i 28 + 16i 28 – 4i
Darya [45]

(4 – 2i)(6 + 2i)

FOIL

First : 4*6 =24

Outer: 4*2i = 8i

Inner: -2i* 6 = -12i

Last: -2i*2i = -4i^2 =-4(-1) =4

Add together

24+8i-12i+4

28-4i

Answer: 28-4i
