Hi
48x+8 is equivalent to 8(6x+1).

Because if you multiply the term 8 for those inside the parentheses will get the same result

8(6x-1) = 48x-8
or
(4*12x)+(4*4) = 48x+16

You have $50 to spend on cold cuts for a party. Ham costs $5.99/lbs, and turkey costs $4.99/lbs. Write an equation in standard f
Bumek [7]

Answer:

The answer here is 5.99x + 4.99y <= 50

Step-by-step explanation:

x represents the number of pounds of ham you buy, and y represents the number of pounds of turkey you buy. Since you only have 50 dollars, the amount of money you spend has to be less than or equal to 50.

Our competitors struggled to sell 350 products last month and we sold 46% more than they did. How many more did we sell?
vekshin1
Find out how much is 46% of 350 and add this number to 350 to get the number of products we sold. 46 % of 350 = 350 * 46/100 (46% is converted intro a fraction) = 161. The number of products we sold = 350 + 161 = 511
