There aren't seventeen official "albums" unless you count the albums made post Beatles with mixes of their songs possibly (i.e. The Blue Album and The Red Album). The Beatles have 12-13 official depending on if you count the Yellow Submarine soundtrack.

Anyways, this question is phrased strangely, but to answer your question, Andrew has 8 albums that John doesn't have and John has at least 6 that Andrew doesn't.

Hope I helped!

Explain why you cannot square each side of the equation when verifying a trigonometric identity.
Sergeu [11.5K]
This is because when we do verification of an identity, we must work separately on both sides, and to see in the end if we can get an equality. Because if we square both sides, that already means that we assume that the equality exist in the beginning, so no need to verify the identity.

A line passes through the points (p, a) and (p, –a) where p and a are real numbers and p ≠ 0. Describe each of the following. Ex
MissTica

Answer:

Part A) The slope is undefined

Part B) The equation of the line is x=p

Part C) None y-intercept

Part D) The slope of a line perpendicular to the given line is equal to zero

Step-by-step explanation:

we have that

Describe

A) slope of the line

B) equation of the line

C) y-intercept

D) slope of a line perpendicular to the given line

Part A) slope of the line

we know that

The formula to calculate the slope between two points is equal to

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

we have

(p,a)\ (p,-a)

Substitute the values

m=\frac{-a-a}{p-p}

m=\frac{-2a}{0}  -----> the slope is undefined

Its a vertical line (parallel to the y-axis)

Part B) Equation of the line

we know that

The equation of a vertical line is equal to the x-coordinate of the points through which the line passes.

so

x=p

Part C) The y-intercept

The y-intercept is the value of y when the value of x is equal to zero

The vertical line not intercept the y-axis

so

None y-intercept

Part D) slope of a line perpendicular to the given line

A line perpendicular to the given line is a horizontal line (parallel to the x-axis)

therefore

The slope is equal to zero

Question 45 A length of pipe that weighs 45 pounds is cut into two pieces. One of the pieces is 3 feet long and weighs 18 pounds
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer: 4.5 pounds.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Weight of original pipe =45 pounds

Weight of first piece = 18 pounds

Then, Weight of  other piece = 45- 18 =  27 pounds

Length of first piece = 3 feet

Let x be the length of other piece.

As length is directly proportional to weight.

Then, \dfrac{x}{27}=\dfrac{3}{18}

\Rightarrow\ \dfrac{x}{27}=\dfrac{1}{6}\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=\dfrac{1}{6}\times27 =4.5

Hence, the he length of the other piece = 4.5 pounds.

An airliner carries 150 passengers and has doors with a height of 78 in. Heights of men are normally distributed with a mean of
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x, height of men is N(69, 2.8)

Sample size n =150

Hence sample std dev = \frac{2.8}{\sqrt{150} } =0.229

Hence Z score = \frac{x-69}{0.229}

A) Prob that a random man from 150  can fit without bending

= P(X<78) = P(Z<3.214)=1.0000

B) n =75

Sample std dev = \frac{2.8}{\sqrt{75} } =0.3233

P(X bar <72) = P(Z<9.28) = 1.00

C) Prob of B is more relevent because average male passengers  would be more relevant than a single person

(D) The probability from part (b) is more relevant because it shows the proportion of flights where the mean height of the male passengers will be less than the door height.
