The representation of the genotypes is as follows:

Homozygous recessive canary: yy

Heterozygous dominant canary: Wy

The white and yellow feathers are the phenotypes and yy or Wy is the genotype of parental alleles.

In F1 generation, the type of feather the canary offspring will have can be predicted by punnet squares shown in image.

Offspring that are homozygous recessive (yy): 2 out of 4 or 2/4=1/2 or 50%

Offspring that are heterozygous (Wy): 2 out of 4 or 2/4=1/2 or 50%

An object has a kinetic energy of 25 J and a mass of 34 kg. How fast is the object moving?
Andreyy89
Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object with mass when in motion. It is calculates by 1/2 the product of the mass of the object and the square of its velocity.

KE = 1/2 (mv^2)
25 = 1/2 (34)(v^2)
v = 1.21 m/s

We are usually least consciously aware of the processes and functions of which brain structure?
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

The answer is Brain Stem.

Explanation:

The brain part that we are least consciously aware of is the brain stem and the reason is because of how it operates and it's functions.

The brain stem is the part of the brain that is located at the end and controls the message flow between our body and our brain. It also regulates our physiological processes such as heart rate, blood pressure, breathing etc. without our notice.

In translation, the cell uses the genetic information contained in mRNA to make the proteins that carry out the cell's work.
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The correct option is d) UAG

Explanation:

Central dogma can be described as the process in which the transcription and translation occurs. The process by which mRNA is made from the DNA is called transcription and the process by which proteins are made by mRNA is called translation.

The first codon present on the DNA is TAG. The mRNA formed from this codon will be AUC. When this mRNA will travel from the nucleus to the cytoplam, the tRNA will bring the anticodons UAG for the first mRNA codon. Hence, the correct option is D.

Which of the following correctly rank the steps in erythrocyte glucose transport by GLUT1? I. Glucose binding results in a confo
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

Following are the correctly rank steps:

1. The binding of glucose takes place with the transporter on one side of the membrane.

2. The binding of glucose leads to a conformational change, which opens the site of binding on the contrary side of the membrane.

3. The dissociation of glucose takes place.

4. The transporter moves back to the beginning conformation.

Can we still recover the lost biodiversity? Why or why not?
photoshop1234 [79]

Yes, we can recover it. But not the same as before. Maybe we will make a new one. By planting trees and cleaning the area.The loss of biodiversity has two significant impacts on human health and the spread of disease. First, it increases the number of disease carrying animals in local populations. ... At the same time, habitat fragmentation brings humans in closer and more frequent contact with these disease carrying species.Participating in Biodiversity Conservation. Identify locations of critical wildlife habitat for species at risk and the threats to these areas. ... Keep vehicles on main roads to reduce the spread of weeds and disturbance to wildlife. Monitor and assess your pets' impact on biodiversity.
