An excavating company charges $300 an hour for the use of a backhoe and $500 an hour for the use of a bulldozer. (part of an hou

r counts as a full hour. ) The company employs one operator for 40 hours per week to operate the machinery. If the company wants to bring in at least $18,400 each week from equipment rental, how many hours per week can it schedule the operator to use a backhoe?

We have that

Cost use of a backhoe----------------------$300 an hour

Estimate for equipment rental each week---------------------$18,400

Total hours operator per week--------------------------------------40

40*300=$12000---------------------it is the cost per week to use a backhoe

$12000<$18400 is ok

The maximum of hours that I can rent a backhoe are 40 hours, since it is the limit of the operator and it do not overcome the total budget

In △EKL, m∠K = 90º, m∠E = 25º, EK = 3 cm, KH - altitude. Find EH.
laiz [17]

Answer:

EH = 3.31

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given a right angle triangle EKL. As KH has been given as the altitude (perpendicular) of the right angled triangle, and K is the right angle, we can say that EK is tthe base of the triangle and EH is the only side lleft, which is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

Where,

EK = Base = 3

KH = perpendicular altitude

EH = Hypotenuse

m<K = 90

m<E = 25

We know that

cosθ = Base/ Hypotenuse

cos 25 = 3/ EH

EH = 3/cos25

EH = 3.31

Perpendicular alitutude can also be calculated by using the formula for tanθ.

What input value produces the same output value for the two functions on the graph ?
Andrej [43]

we know that

The intersection point of both graphs is a common point for both functions, for which for the same input value, both functions will have the same output value.

so

the point of intersection is (4,3)

for an input value equal to 4

the output value for both functions is 3

therefore

the answer is the option

X= 4

A Car is moving on a straight road with velocity 30m/s and is speeding up at constant rate and reaches a velocity of 90m/s. What
poizon [28]

Answer:

60m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

velocity of the while moving is 30 m/s and it becomes 90 m/s after speeding up at constant rate. so the average velocity of the journey is
