Bella spent $13.74 at the movies, so 40% of 15% = 13.74

13.74 / 0.4 (40%) = 34.35

Bella's 15% of her paycheck is $34.35

That means we need to find out what the 85% of her paycheck is.

34.35 / 0.15 (15%)  = 229.

Bella's total paycheck is $229.

Hope this helps! Have a good day :)

Bob and Nina make dog leashes . Bob can make 7 leashes in 2 hours and nina can make 4 leashes in 1 hour enter an equation that c
Valentin [98]

Answer:

Number of leashes Bob can make in 2 hours = 7

Number of leashes Bob can make in 1 hour = 7÷2 = 3.5

Let, Bob takes total x hours.

Number of leashes Nina can make in 1 hour = 4

Let, Nina takes total x hours.

∴  The equation that can be used to find the number of hours it takes bob and Nina to make 60 leashes is given by-

3.5x+4x = 60.

7.5x = 60

This equation can be used to find the number of hours taken by Bob and Nina by putting different values of x and y which satisfies above equation.

Based on FAA estimates the average age of the fleets of the 10 largest U.S. commercial passenger carriers is 13.4 years with a s
Sliva [168]

Answer: 0.0129

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Mean : \mu=13.4\text{ years}

Standard deviation : \sigma=1.7\text{ years}

Sample size : n=40

Let X be the random variable that represents the age of of the fleets.

Z-score : z=\dfrac{x-\mu}{\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

For x = 14

z=\dfrac{14-13.4}{\dfrac{1.7}{\sqrt{40}}}\approx2.23

By using standard normal distribution table , the probability that the average age of these 40 airplanes is at least 14 years old will be

P(x\geq14)=P(z\geq2.23)=1-P(z

Hence, the the probability that the average age of these 40 airplanes is at least 14 years old =0.0129

3) George walks away from his house. He walks 25 km west and then
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

29.15 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

George walks; 25km west and then 15 km south

Resolving the directions to x and y axis;

North and South represent positive and negative y axis.

East and West represent positive and negative x axis respectively.

25km west

Rx = -25 km

15 km south

Ry = -15 km

The resultant displacement from the house is;

R = √(Rx^2 + Ry^2)

Substituting the values;

R = √((-15)^2 + (-25)^2)

R = √(225+625)

R = √(850)

R = 29.15 km

Therefore, he is 29.15 km from house
