No, they cannot.

A square has 4 sides that are equal.  To find the area of a square, we multiply its length and width; since they are the same, we are basically squaring that side.

A=s²

To find the side if we know the area, we work backward and take the square root:

√169=√s²
13=s

The side length is 13 in.

A cube has the same length, width, and height.  To find the volume of a cube, we multiply these 3 measurements; since they are the same, we are basically cubing the side length:

V=s³

We know the volume is 1728, so we have:

1728=s³

To work backward, we take the cubed root:
∛1728=∛s³
12=s

The side length of the cube would have to be 12; a 13 in side would not work.

How many times greater is the value of the 3 in 4,367 than the value of the 3 in 39?
Lesechka [4]

Answer: Roughly 111.97

Step-by-step explanation:

1. 39 divided by 3 is 13.

2. 4367 divided by 3 is not evenly distributed. Rounding, it would work out to be roughly 1455.66

3. 1455.66 divided by 13 is roughly 111.97 (Again, this does not distribute evenly)

4. To check your work, multiply 111.97 times 13 and you should get somewhere around 1455.66 which is (4367 divided by 3).

Hopefully this helps! Feel free to mark brainliest! :)

Explain how you can use the inscribed angle theorem to justify its second corollary, that an angle inscribed in a semicircle is
Katarina [22]
Prove:

The angle inscribed in a semicircle is a right angle.

The inscribed angle theorem states that the angle θ, inscribed in a circle is half the measure of the central angle of the circle. So, if the given is a semi-circle, then the inscribed angle is half of 180, therefore, 90 degrees and a right angle.  <span />
