1st we need to calculate the number of moles that are present
(1.98* 10^{28} atoms)( \frac{1 mol}{6.023*10^{23} atoms} ) = 32873.98 mol of water

2nd take the number of moles and multiply it by the Molecular Weight of water (18)
32873.98 * 18 = 591731.69 g = 591.7 kg

<u>Answer:</u> The mass of water would be 5.918\times 10^5g

<u>Explanation:</u>

According to the mole concept:

1 mole of a compound contains 6.022\times 10^{23} number of molecules which determines the molar mass of that compound.

Mass of water for 1 mole is 18 grams.

So, 1.98\times 10^{28} number of molecules will have a mass of

\frac{1.98\times 10^{28}}{6.022\times 10^{23}}\times 18g=5.918\times 10^5g

Hence, the mass of water would be 5.918\times 10^5g

A gas is contained in a thick-walled balloon. When the pressure changes from 319 mm Hg to 215 mm Hg, th volume changes from 0.55
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]
In this question we need to find the new volume of the gas. Since we have been given the pressure and temperature change, we can used to combined gas law equation.
\frac{P1V1}{T1} =  \frac{P2V2}{T2}
the parameters for 1st instance are given on the left side and parameters for the second instance are given on the right side of the equation
(319 mmHg x 0.558 L)/ 115 K = (215 mmHg x V)/387 K
V = 2.79 L

Mgcl2 has a concentration of 0.054 M in the ocean. How many grams are present in 25ml of sea water
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

0.129g MgCl2

Explanation:

For this we need to understand the concept of molarity.

Molarity is number of moles of solute/litres of solution

M=n/L

Here we are given molarity of 0.054M and volume of 25ml. we just plug this in formula to find moles of MgCl2

0.054=x/(25/1000) (we divided 25 by 1000 to convert it to litres of solution)

x=0.00135 moles of MgCl2 (we are not done yet the question asks for grams so to convert to grams we multiply by molar mass of MgCl2.)

0.00135molesMgCl2 x 95.211g MgCl2/1molMgCl2

= 0.129g MgCl2
