Answer:

Hence, perimeter of ΔAEB is:

18.5 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of ΔAEB is given as:

length of side AE+length of side BE+length of side AB.

As side AB║DF hence we will use Triangle Proportionality theorem to calculate the length of side AE.

Since,

\dfrac{AE}{AD}=\dfrac{EB}{BF}

Hence, we have:

\dfrac{AE}{2}=\dfrac{7.8}{2.4}\\\\AE=\dfrac{7.8\times 2}{2.4}\\\\AE=6.5 ft.

Hence, perimeter of ΔAEB is:

6.5+4.2+7.8=18.5 ft.

( since AE=6.5 ft

BE=7.8 ft

and AB=4.2 ft )

Hence, perimeter of ΔAEB is:

18.5 ft.

Explain whether 13t−3t is equivalent to 3t−13t. Support your answer by evaluating the expressions for t=2.
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

  • Not equivalent

Step-by-step explanation:

  • 13t - 3t = (13 - 3)t = 10t
  • 3t - 13t = (3 - 13)t = -10t
  • 10t ≠ -10t

They are not equivalent

<u>When t = 2</u>

  • 13t - 3t = 13*2 - 3*2 = 26 - 6 = 20
  • 3t - 13t = 3*2 - 13*2 = 6 - 26 = -20

i feel as if in the United States, both the metric system and the English system of measurement are used, although the English system predominates. This discussion question has three parts:

Look around you to find something in the U.S. that is measured in metrics. Describe it to the class.

Give an example of how you think the metric system will be used in your future career.

Do you think the U.S. should switch to metric system exclusively? Why or why not?

This week we learned about the metric and U.S. customary measurement systems. Please upload and submit your responses to the following questions in at least 150 words:

In reflecting on both measurement systems, what did you find most important?

Jenny starts running at a pace of 10 miles per hour. Her calf starts to hurt after 12 minutes, so she slows down to 6 miles per
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

42 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we want to calculate the number of minutes ran in total.

Kindly note that;

Time = distance/speed

Her starting speed is 10 miles/hour

but she ran for 12 minutes.

Kindly note that 12 minutes = 12/60 = 1/5 = 0.2 hour

So total distance in the first 12 minutes is speed * time = 10 * 0.2 = 2 miles

Now the rest of distance to run would be ;

5 -2 = 3 miles

She ran 3 miles at a speed of 6 miles per hour.

Time spent here is 3/6 = 0.5 hours which is same as 30 minutes

Total time spent = 30 + 12 = 42 minutes
