The correct answer is B)They thought Prohibition would take away people's rights.

People who were against Prohibition wanted alcohol to still be legal in the United States. These individuals felt that citizens should have the right to choose whether or not they want to drink. Getting the government involved in an affair like this would limit their individual freedoms in American society. Despite their best efforts, Prohibition takes place with the 18th amendment. This amendment is widly unsuccessful, as the amount of drinking in the US increases and violence ensues.

The statement best describing the beliefs of those who were against Prohibition in the early 1900s was that they thought Prohibition would take away people's rights.

Further Explanations:

Prohibition outlawed the trade and manufacturing of liquor in the nation during 1919. Scholars supposed that alcohol consumption was the cause of all the societal issues. Some supporters ratified it on moral grounds as consider drinking an unethical behavior.

Outlawing Alcohol production shortly lost its prominence, as numerous manufacture syndicates were put to halt resulted in the drop of tax received by the government. Prohibition gave birth to the legendary alcohol mafia “Al Capone”and numerous other lawbreakers. The measures implemented by the management were not adequate enough and for the reason, a newly organized group of lawbreakers got recognized. These groups engaged themselves in the illegal supply of alcohol. They too were managing the spaces for alcohol consumption. The prohibition was taken back in 1933.
