Langston Hughes's essay "The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain" is one of the most important essays written on American poetry and, also, the plight of African-American artists in the early 20th century. The essay serves as a manifesto of the Harlem Renaissance. In the essays Hughes said that African-American artists in America should stop copying whites in terms of philosophy and style, that they will never create anything important and landmark that way. Instead, Hughes suggests that Africa-American poets and artists should be proud of who they are and develop their ideas from African-American culture

Answer:

The story "The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain" has a powerful message and meaning in it . It also describes beliefs of the author regarding African American Artists and their struggles in the art industry , he overviews their feelings , thoughts , strategies , and much more of what revolves around the African American artist's .The message he portrays may be the most interesting and realistic metaphor relating to all he discusses about African American Artist's and African American art at the time of his literature writings .That message itself is in the name of the story and title "The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain" what Langley Hughes try's to state and revolve around his piece of literature is that being an African American Artist is not easy , even if they had the talent , the hard work ethic , and the beautiful artwork they would still have to go through the metaphoric "Racial Mountain" and climb up the mountain possibly attempting to go over it and all the hard obstacles and pressure that it represents for African American artist's.

Alik [6]

Answer: A) It reinforces the idea of the United Nations’ strength and power.

Repetition is often used as a rhetorical device in order to emphasize an idea. It can also be used to provide more weight to a particular topic or to leave a long-lasting image in the listener's mind. In this case, the idea that Roosevelt is trying to emphasize is that the United Nations will strike again, because of its strength and power. By repeating the word "strike," he is making sure that the listener understands the extent of this promise and the power of the UN.
