65.38 tons are added.

Using the equation, and substituting 3 for 5, we have
s(3) = 65+24sin(0.3*3) = 65.38

s(t) = 65+24sin(0.3t)

where t is measured in hours since 5:00 a.m

3-hour period from 7:00  a.m. to 10:00 am

5 am to 7 am = 2 hours

5 am to 10 am = 5 hours

To find the number of tons we take integral of 2 to 5  of s(t)

∫ 2  to 5 s(t) = ∫ 2  to 5 (65+24sin(0.3t))

∫65+24sin(0.3t) dt = 65t - 80 cos(0.3t) + c

Now we plug in the bounds 2 and 5

∫ 2  to 5 (65+24sin(0.3t))  = 255.36787 = 255.268

255.268 tons of sand are added to the beach over the 3-hour period

Which of the following describes the graph of y = StartRoot negative 4 x minus 36 EndRoot compared to the parent square root fun
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

stretched by a factor of 2, reflected over the y-axis, and translated 9 units left

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is y=\sqrt{-4x-36}

We can rewrite this function by factoring -4 in the radicand to get:

y=\sqrt{-4(x+9)}

We further simplify the square root of 4 to get:

y=2\sqrt{-(x+9)

The parent function is y=\sqrt{x}

When we compare to the parent function, there is a stretch by a factor of 2, reflection over the y-axis, and translation 9 units left

The last option is correct

If a set of data has mean 60 and variance 9 then it's coefficient of variation is
loris [4]
Coefficient of variation is calculated by dividing the standard deviation by the mean multiplied by 100. Given a data set with mean equal to 60 and variance equal to 9, we can calculate the coefficient of variation by finding the value of the standard deviation which is the square root of the variance. so standard deviation is equal to square root of 9 which is 3. Then, the coefficient of variation is equal to 3/60*100 which is equal to 5%.

The word geometry has eight letters. three letters are chosen at random. what is the probability that two consonants and one vow
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

0.536 is the required probability.

Step-by-step explanation:

 We have been given the word the word "GEOMETRY"

we have to find the probability that two consonants and one vowel are chosen:

Number of consonants are: 5

Number of  vowels are: 3

Hence, The required probability is: \frac{^5C_2\cdot ^3C_1}{^8C_3}

Using: ^nC_r=\frac{n!}{(r!)(n-r)!}

\frac{\frac{5!}{3!\cdot 2!}\cdot\frac{3!}{1!\cdot 2!}}{\frac{8!}{3!\cdot 5!}}

Simplifying the above expression:

\frac{\frac{5\cdot 4\cdot 3!}{3!\cdot 2}\cdot {\frac{3\cdot 2!}{2!}}}{\frac{8\cdot 7\cdot 6\cdot 5!}{5!\cdot 3\cdot 2}}

Further simplification after cancelling out the common terms we get:

\Rightarrow \frac{30}{56}=\frac{15}{28}=0.5357=0.536

Hence, Option 1 is correct.
