Hamlet could kill Claudius at this moment but does not because he wants to kill the king in the midst of sin, not prayer. This moment provides dramatic irony because readers know what Hamlet does not: the king is not praying.

King Claudius is a fictional character and the main antagonist of William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet. King Claudius is the villan of the play.

In tha play, Hamlet wants to kill Claudius three times.

Is not praying

Hamlet sees Claudius on his knees and hesitates, not wanting to send Claudius' soul to heaven, but the audience hears what Claudius is saying and he is talking about how he actually is incapable of prayer. He knows he has done evil and his thoughts aren't pure enough for prayer.

Should Katniss have intervened when the girl was taken by the hovercraft? Why or why no?
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

Katniss should not intervene when the girl is taken. Think of it this way; if Katniss had intervened, would she have survived? Or would there have been more than one casualty? Acknowledging that the morally sound answer would be yes, we should consider the logical information that Katniss more than likely wouldn't have made it out of that situation in one piece. The capitol is very aggressive and would not hesitate to execute Katniss for rebelling.

Create a parenthetical citation for the following information. Be careful! Remember, your spacing and punctuation must be exact.
Serggg [28]

Answer:

"Global warming is very bad"(Franklin and Smith 74).

  • An in-text parenthetical citation, as described by MLA guidelines, should be done like this. No space between the end quote and the start parenthesis. Multiple authors can be cited like this, in alphabetical order.

I find that the Purdue OWL writing website is very helpful if you're confused about MLA!
